Going by this, around 50% of binary stars are at over 1000 AU apart, while smaller ones can be as low as 18 AU.
Destroying the Sun from Earth is solar system level (around 50x baseline iirc), so 9-500x that distance would also get solar system level (I believe around 4050-12500000x baseline)
