If Crazy Diamond has Massively FTL speed, why Josuke estimates that its strikes exceed 300 km/h?
Diu color v14 020
Chapter 391

We tend to go by actual calculated feats over obviously bad estimates.

A writer of the Flash comicbook claims that he cannot travel faster than sound, but he has feats by far exceeding this.

It is not uncommon that the writers and artists do not realise how powerful the characters truly are.

@Seventy

If we went strictly by author statements then we'd rarely have characters who are FTL, much less Massively FTL or Massively FTL+.

In short, accepted calc > unreliable author statement.

IMO Araki through Josuke tell us haw fast Crazy Diamond is.
That's largely unsubstained, it's far easier to assume the author wanted to portray Josuke as being ignorant on how fast his stand actually is than it is to assume he wanted to tell us CD was 300 km/h and used someone in-universe to do so.

Furthermore Jojo uses a lot of narration from an omniscient 3rd party, and Araki has stat pages for the stands , if he wanted to give us this information as an objective fact he would have done so using said means.

There's also the fact that Josuke was able to take Star Platinum: The World completely by surprise despite the fact that it had matched both Silver Chariot's and The World's pace in the past.

Ok just to put into perspective How unreliable this statment is Crazy Dimond intercepted a bullet After it fired and while the gun was a few inches from josukes face So that should Supersonic. 300 km/h that's sub sonic.

Oh also It tagging Red hot chilli pepper who's stated to be basically light speed. Who if the speed Diffrence really was that big He would never tag Even if he cought him off guard

Josuk said he bet it punches over 300km but then goes on to say he's never actually mneasured it, next chapter he catches a bullet point blank casually.
