Why Weakened? Part 4 SP is > or = Part 3 SP

This databook directly says that it is at the star platinum level in terms of speed and that it surpasses it physically.

He was even more nerfed than that.

It was 0.5 seconds in the beginning of DIU. He got it back to 2 seconds towards the end.

What is the connection between TS and Star Platinum being Speed nerfed? There is no statement that Star Platinum's speed has decreased. Star Platinum's speed scale came from scaling above Silver Chariot
 
Star Platinum also has statements of being the strongest stand, even in part 4. Ah, mb lol I wasn’t reading it properly.

Considering the statement is of Crazy Diamond "hiding" power exceeding that of Star Platinum it's pretty clear it's referring to its rage-amped version that already does scale to High 8-C+ off of Plat. It also doesn't necessarily contradict the statements of Star Platinum being the strongest because it's a fairly situational power boost that only makes CD very slightly stronger than Plat.

Slightly being stronger than base star platinum or enraged star platinum?
 
Base. If anything Plat's rage boost just stops being a factor post-Part 3, there's not even any evidence it's still a thing hence why it isn't in Jotaro's Part 4/6 key.
 
Part of the statement (the strength part) is contradictory with the manga.
Although enraged CD should be near the Speed of plat 4 plat

Literally not what it says. The scan actually confirms he's not as fast. It says he's approaching Plat's speed (Part 4 Plat Mind you).
Mind you, it's talking in reference to CD's peak, as in, enraged CD, which we rate MFTL precisely because he's almost Plat lv in speed.

And like, this should be obvious given GoGo, as well as the very manga itself, no less than 8 times, says Plat's the fastest mf in Part 4, and dudes that give base CD trouble, are outright slower than Plat.
Hell the scene where CD abuses the Stand Rules to spike his speed, was in a attempt to try to replicate Plat's speed from the getgo, it's absolutely not something he can do normally. And even then he still wasn't quite as fast.

ALSO not what it says, the scan says that CD holds a hidden power within that might surpass Plat, it does not say "wow CD is stronger than Plat", it's literally stated to be a hidden potential, something that isn't standard or normal, let alone something that he just normally is.

And the worst part is, it's talking hypothetically, we know he never actually did because we're told he didn't. Plat is stated strongest multiple times in Part 4, even at the end in physicallity, and more recent statements say CD at it's peak is almost as strong as Plat.

We aren't gonna use a statement that says "yeah CD has the potential within to surpass Plat in power", if it never actually happened, like cool a hypothetical Part 6 CD is super strong, we don't index tha though.

Also it's established that Part 3 Plat is its peak/prime, which kinda indirectly implicates not 18yo Plat, isn't > Part 3. The fact it's been established 4 times Stand's dwindle with age past a certain point, also doesn't help.

に (ni) - indicates relation, in this case "in"
正比例する (seihirei suru) - "Proportional" or "Directly proportional", which is directly talking about how a Stand's stats get higher or lower in regards to how far they go.
ルール (rūru) - "Rule" (because it's uhm, a rule stands abide by).
通り (tōri) - "As per" or "According to"
クレイジー・ダイヤモンド (kureijī daiyamondo) - "Crazy Diamond"
も (mo) - "Also"
スタープラチナ (sutā purachina) - "Star Platinum"
に (ni) - particle marking comparison "to" or "towards"
迫る (semaru) - "Approach" or "Close in on"

Which, not only confirms he DOESN'T have speed on par with Plat, merely that he approaches it, but he can only even approach it by abusing the Stand Rules.


Literally, the line is literally talking about the scene where CD got as close as he possibly could to spike his speed in a attempt to replicate Plat's speed.


Like the actual scene the line is talking about, the whole point was "wow youre not as fast as Plat, so get right up on my ass to try to mimic him", the fact the scan actually says even while trying to mimic Plat by exploiting rules, he doesn't actually get on par but just begins to approach him, is not a good thing.
