Counterattacks?

Hey there. So... Is there any reason why counterattacking isn't given an article yet? Granted there's attack reflection, with examples being Palutena, any Pokemon with Mirror Coat, but then there's characters that can perpetually counter attacks such as Cosmic Gigalith or pretty much any Fire Emblem character in Super Smash Bros, or characters that require a more push-based approach to counterattacking such as literally all Puyo Puyo characters. Granted counterattacks are more or less a skill than an actual ability as pretty much anyone who has seen a sword and shield would know, but I figured I'd bring this up.

A lot of the times, it can be easily considered as Game Mechanics.

At best it's a form of Instinctive Reaction if it's automatic, or just being skilled in general.
