Correlation of speed between an AOE's and precise attacks' speeds

Hello everyone, I simply wonder if we may establish some sort of correlation between the speed of an expanding area of effect created by a character (example: something that covers a country in a matter of minutes) and the speed of a more classic range attack (such your typical energy projection attack) done by the same character. Do you think both are somewhat comparable? That one of them is necessarily faster/slower than the other? Perhaps you think they're irrelevant to each others? Or perhaps you think it heavily depends of which character/verse we're talking about? Anyway I'm curious to hear your opinions because I wonder if it's possible to establish some sort of correlation.

Depends on context, really. But mostly it comes down to whether they share the same energy source and whether they are similar in nature (Like the energy beam being just a focused version of the AoE attack and stuff).

There also comes the question of powerscaling, like with the character keeping up with the AoE attack and/or having some difficulty outpacing the focused blast and stuff.

I asked that because in ygo gx Saiou (Sartorius in 4kids' version) while possessed by the light if destruction used a special card named "barrier of light" that spreads it's presence in the whole universe in exactly 4 min 20 (260 s) which is 11 quadrillions of times FTL. The light from that barrier is special and negates the powers of anyone inside the barrier (even outside of the duel: Saiou states this works for real too) except the ones coming from the light of destruction or monsters used by Saiou. Earlier in that episode he fired some beam of light to try to catch an item that was several dozens of meters away from him but another character reacted to these beams and intercepted them so I wondered if you thought they may have similar speed.

Is the beam of light the same light as the one used in the AoE attack? Is the AoE attack of casual nature with the beam requiring more effort? Do the attacks share the same energy source?

It's quite difficult to tell if this is THE exact same source of energy for sure since the the beam of light comes directly from Saiou while possessed by the Light of destruction while the light from the barrier comes from the spell card "barrier of light" played by Saiou during the duel. But we know the light of destruction can give some of it's powers to some cards which happened several times during season 2 (such as "destiny HERO - Dreadmaster" when it attacked Judai which affected him, or when people brainwashed by Saiou used "white veil" (which contained a part of the light of destruction's powers) or (most famous example) when it invaded the card named "Destiny HERO - Plasma"). And since the card "light barrier" was designed to reinforce the light of destruction while weakening it's enemies it's pretty safe to assume a part of the light of destruction's powers (possible it's essence too) are used to give it's strength and powers to the barrier.

However it's easy to reply to how casual it was to use the barrier or the beams: in both case it was done effortlessly by Saiou.
