If I recall correctly Soundwave needs extended contact for his brainwashing, and doesn't really use it in-combat, but I haven't really read any of the comics so I'm probably terribly wrong lol

I feel like Soundwave likely mindhaxes before Conquest gets to his ass.

Conquest has an AP advantage of like 3.7x as well as higher LS, so he'll be a very difficult opponent for Soundwave to deal with in close quarters. But for the most part, Soundwave holds a sizeable skill and experience advantage, and flight would allow him to consistently keep his distance with Conquest. He also has his minions to back him up, which would allow him to strategize and attack Conquest from all corners, giving him no time for rest.

Nah, his mindhax can actually work on humans without extra help. At the very least, he can use him sound manip to disrupt Conquest smart atoms and potentially weaken him, or even just leave him vulnerable and leave enough time for Soundwave to jump him.

He has. He's likely gonna know that he's at a disadvantage, and using his mind stuff is kind of just a standard thing for Soundwave to do.
