I know that rule 5 is there but I waited for a bit and it never happened, so I'm taking things into my own hands

I would say that Eggman loses here.

Unlike with the Super forms, Metal Overlord doesn't use the Chaos Emeralds, so the Chaos Energy Cannon would be useless here, and Metal Overlord would be able to easily destroy Eggman's other machines.

Dr. Eggman has always been aware of how powerful Metal Overlord is. He would open with Dimensional BFR rather than directly dealing with Metal Overlord.

Metal easily wins this, not only Eggman in Heroes thought it was impossible to beat him back then, Metal can also just fuse with any machine in his path, is far stronger, and Eggman's hax that allowed in to get this far are worthless against him

Chaos Emeralds can't be copied perfectly and copied Chaos Emeralds messes with Machinery, which is what Metal is, via SA2

So no Dimensional Travel for Metal Overlord, who has no genuine Chaos Emerald
