Lee:

+ His largest advantage here is Lifting Strength, being Class 1 vs Rick's Above Average. Lee isn't much of a grappler in physical fights aside from his instance against Kenny (which was more an attempt to subdue) and fighting the Stranger while both were fighting over the gun, but it'll guarantee Rick will basically get his throat crushed almost immediately on trying anything like that due to the Lifting Strength difference.

+ Lee also has the pain endurance/stamina advantage, being able to have a myriad of wounds inflicted on him by the point of Episode 5 (Walker bite infection, sawing his own arm off despite losing a few minutes of consciousness and losing blood afterwards, a second walker bite on the shoulder in his scrap to the Marsh House if you fail a specific QTE, AND potentially being shot by the Stranger near the stomach before being capable of strangling him... with a single hand if chosen lol).

+ If Rick at all attempts diplomacy, Lee has the advantage in terms of Social Influencing and getting the enemy to disarm themselves. I doubt this will happen though.

+ Slightly better reach with his fire axe than Rick's hatchet.

+ Lee has more rounds to fire without reloading his Glock 17 than Rick can with his Python (17 bullets vs 6).

- He has less proper training than Rick, but this is circumvented slightly with his skills in firearms (such as being able to save Molly from her dance with that walker if you didn't bring Clementine to Crawford), being able to gun down 8+ moving Walkers in moments (outside the Crawford infirmary), etc.

- Less survival experience than Rick, having survived 3 months into the apocalypse compared to Rick's 5 years. Despite that, Lee has shown himself to be an extremely cunning individual both in intelligence and survival skills. I don't believe this is a make-or-break disadvantage.

Rick:

+ Better firearm training due to his background as a police officer, granting him a slight advantage in terms of weapon handling and familiarity.

+ A much more grizzled survivor, making him less likely to buy into Lee's Social Influencing compared to other people while also increasing the possibility for Rick to rely on desperate or underhanded tactics.

+ Rick is also the more experienced survivor, having spent 5 years hardening throughout the apocalypse.

- 6 rounds in his Python vs Lee's 17 give Rick a narrower window to land his shots, making things more hard-pressed for him.

- Rick's hatchet has slightly shorter reach than Lee swinging with his axe, making it harder to get in Lee's range to attack without being harmed himself.

Overall, I'm gonna give my vote to Lee. Superior pain tolerance provides the means for Lee to survive any non-lethal injuries, superior Lifting Strength means any fist-to-fist grappling is heavily in Lee's favor, a larger magazine for his Glock 17 makes up for Rick's superiority in weapons and handling, and his fire axe beats out the hatchet 9 outta 10 times with that extra foot or two of range.
