Characters as Roommates ranking

DaReaperMan

Bronze Supporter
42,982
37,152
Simple concept, complex situation. There will be 5 sections for this, each ranking 0-5 up to 25 points
Simple concept. Will this character be good to interact with regularly? Are they a Saint or are they just going to kill you or otherwise completely exploit you?

a low rank in this category essentially means the latter, I dont think you'd want to live in the same zipcode as The Joker, would you?

a high rank is for a character whom is essentially a saint, i doubt there are many people who would deny living with Alfred or Sanji would be anything but a good time.
You need a house that can fit you both, and you also need to have note of any potential clumsiness they may have to break things such has having horns or being a dragon. Good Enginners are a cheat for this category too, if the microwave breaks down Rory Swann is probably going to make it run better than it ever did before, ditto for builders like The Terrian in terms of furniture. Also characters you can live inside of like The Overmind are technically cheats too. This doesnt necessarily make them 5s, but it helps their rankings.

a high rank in this category basically means they can't or won't damage anything very often, whether through discipline or just plain weakness.

A low rank in this category means the house will not be standing by the end of the day, I don't hear anyone saying that Frieza is a careful individual, do you?
This is usually a mix of personality and housing, Balthasar Gelt may be entertaining to be around, but it wouldn't be the first time an experiment blew up in his face. Literally.

A high rank is for those who wouldn't harm a fly, and wouldn't punch you or break something sharp either.

A low rank is going to kill someone. They may not have meant to do it, but it'd happen.
Does your roommate require sustenence? Do they pay bills with normal money or via solid bars of gold? Can they help do chores without breaking a leg? All should be considered here. Your high ranks will be able to do all of these things and more, your low ranks are borderline impossible to help outside of their preferred environment.
Is this character a wanted criminal? Do they have to travel a lot? Do they lead a faction or race? Good news they won't be ranking highly here.

A high rank is for those with a solid income or fat stacks wirhout the responsibility of leading an entire nation to greatness.

a low rank is for those you'll never see because they have shit to do constantly OR you're in danger of getting swatted because half the galaxy wants this person dead.

Oh boy Rick Sanchez, this is not gonna be fun
1/5

Rick is a douche, an asshole, pysco and socipath. He is nihilistic, and extremely petty being very annoying nearly all the time. You wont win any arguments, anything he says will be done, everything you know and love will crumble due to his Intelligence and you will only learn that you knew nothing and you were just a piece of shit in the infinite cosmos. Yeah, not pleasent. I give 1 point due to him atleast being somewhat protective sometimes and funny
2/5
Rick can upgrade and fix ANYTHING you want, and he MAY build stuff if you get lucky. Otherwise he will get drunk and destroy the universe, that risk will always be there EVERYDAY

He also likely makes the house extremely powerful and adds traps everywhere, be careful.
0/5

He is Rick, you and many people will die several times every week. He will revive you, sometimes. Or replace you, who knows.
1/5

Rick wont pay the bills even though he is rich, he would generally do his own sustanence and maybe feed you if he feels bad enough. Though your food may be humans from another dimension that turn into spagetti when they suicide.

Oh also your bills are now in thousands.
0/5

Rick is a wanted criminal across the infinite multiverse, its stated in a good day 10+ people try to kill him every week. He is running from Citadel, Evil Morty, Galactic Federation, Temmy, President, Zues, Unity, Story Lord, Alien Squids, Decoys, Clones and many many more. They may attack at any moment, and Rick would not be prepared. Not because he cant but because he is a dick that probably rather get drunk

4/25 Lol.

May as well do my favorite character period: Garrosh Hellscream!

And to be generous, I will be doing Cataclysm Garrosh!
1/5

We get to MoP and this mutates into a 0. But this is Cataclysm. Garrosh probably won't cut your head off since you will probably be a non-combatant... but Garrosh hates humans. He can hardly stand to be in their presence and the threat of having your skull caved in will be everpresent, but play nice enough and he'll be at that tolerance threshold.
3/5

Most of the rating stems from Garrosh being easy to anger and being 7 ******* feet tall ans built like a Boulder. He'll probably knock over a few glasses, and will almost certainly cleave a table in half because someone tried to raise the rent on him, but he's not about to ever bulldoze the house
1/5

Let's be real, Garrosh's personality applies here, and glasses being shattered isn't going to be very fun either, but not gonna murder you guaranteed.
3/5

Garrosh, as an Orc, eats meat. He'll probably hunt it himself, so no issue there. He'll pay his half of the rent, sure. He ain't doing chores that don't involve making firewood though, so yeah.
0/5

Garrosh is Warchief of the Horde, and is about ready to go into a war at any opportunity. Living with the Orc is a risk, though thankfully unlike most leaders, getting Doxxed won't force you to move, because Garrosh would probably cleave the head off of anyone who tried to take advantage of it. But when you're in the same household as a soon-to-be War Criminal, yeah.

8/25. You can drop two of these points for MoP onwards.

Yeah no shit Garrosh isn't a good roommate.

Actually Ricks Ease of Care should be 1, his experiments cause the electricty bill to be a couple thousands iirc stated by Jerry.

I aint American but thats expensive right?

That's about 70,000 Lira in Turkey, give or take.

Wednesday Addams

0/5

She is extremely anti-social. If you are not the type of handsome boy she loves, you will definitely not have a good start with her. She will divide the room you are in in half with a line and tell you not to cross over to her side. If you don't listen to her, the first time you will receive some horrible death threats and the second time she will do things that could cost you your life, such as dropping piranhas into the pool while you are swimming in it.
3/5

She is quite clumsy but her practical intelligence saves her from ruining everything. So, although there is a possibility that something may break or fall out, it is unlikely that your house will burn to ashes without external factors.
1/5

She doesn't care about you or your side of the room, so you have to fend for yourself. Considering other factors, trouble will soon find you just because you live in the same place as her.
2/5

She can take care of herself, but she won't help you, so you're on your own.
0/5

She is quite sinister. Because of her curious and investigative nature, she looks for her trouble and sometimes trouble finds her even if she is not looking for trouble. Your house can be reduced to ashes by ghosts, damaged or destroyed by various monsters.

6/25 is ideal for an Addams.

I'm bored so I'ma do this with a Goomba

4/5
I think they would be pretty chill. Not gonna give them a perfect score here since there is the off chance of them causing problems.
4/5
Goomba's are not really big so fitting one in a home isn't gonna be hard. The main problem here is that they'd likely bump into stuff often and can't really pick anything up due to her lack of hands but other then that their pretty much fine in this category
5/5
A passive Goomba prob wouldn't harm other unless provoked so they should be safe to be around.
3/5
Goomba's do need food so that's a minus. If they work for Bowser they can't help pay bills since Bowser's most troops work for free afaik and even if they had a normal job I think banks accept big yellow coins so that's another minus. They'd prob do well with chores since they likely already do similar things for Bowser.
4/5
If they work for Bowser they might be out a lot but if they don't they shouldn't really have any other problems here.
20/25
Overall a pretty solid roommate, would stomp on again.

Anduin Wrynn. This will be BFA-era Anduin.

5/5

Anduin Llane Wrynn is just straight up a good ******* person. He'll doubt himself occasionally, sure, but that's a two-way street. He's also ridiculously trustworthy, tends to edge towards diplomacy and healing people, and just generally being exactly what a 5/5 should be.
5/5

Anduin is a royal trained by his badass of a father, so clumsiness is out, and he has to be pushed way over the edge to break literally anything, to the point where when being empathy-******, under the stress of the entire nation and courtly shit, and just having got over a massive war, only then did he punch a guy a single time, who he has history with and actively deserved it.

Anduin Wrynn has the patience of a saint is what I'm saying.
5/5

This is a man who can heal you, resurrect you, and instill feelings of peace in you. At will. Even without breaking anything you are at no danger around Anduin unless you somehow manage to push him into the deep end.
5/5

Standard Human necessities helped by being filthy rich and an actively helpful person means rent is getting paid, and he'll apsolutely pull his weight and extra if you end up sick and unable to hold up.
5/5

Anduin is High King of the Alliance and King of Stormwind. And he isn't turning into a dictator like Garrosh so... no. If you get doxxed, you'll have to move.

BUT, Anduin is rarely required to leave due to his 9/5 being essentially listening to court shit all day. He's also got the benefits of royal guards and SI:7, so even any risks of assassins aren't present, and frankly, since he's rarely on the front lines due to not wanting to worry his entire nation, he will be spending more time than you would first think around the house.

Literally, the good outweighs the bad by several magnitudes, and most people don't get themselves doxxed often. I know it's never happened to me.

25/25. Surprisingly, exactly what you want in a roommate.

Satou Hiroshi
Average highschooler, just to see if I get how the system is balanced.

3. Average highschooler has average personality. Will be reasonably pleasant to interact with, but not nicer than the average person.

Is this a 5 or a 3? Like, he won't really cause any trouble nor need special accommodation, but he won't fix stuff either.

A 5 for being no threat, I guess. Although he doesn't add to my safety either...

2 perhaps? He has no independent income, but his parents would pay his cost of living up to a certain, probably lower than average, extend. Average income only pays so much for someone living in a different household.

3, probably? No problems, but no huge help either.

So 16 to 18 points for the average highschooler?

Tiki in her adult version.
She is very kind and although she can be sometime a bit immature it's nothing problematic.

5/5
It would not be a problem for her most of the time, however she can turn into a dragon, if she isn't careful even once with her transformation, the house won't be standing for long. The treat is also increased by the fact that according to the Nowi/Ricken support manaketes can sometimes instinctively goes into their dragon form if they have a bad dream.

So 2/5, she's not usually a problem but the treat of always being one bad day away from being homeless is too big to be ignored.
As said before she is a peaceful person but their is always a chance of an accident happening with her transformation.

4/5
Does Tiki even need to eat ? Dont think she'll need help to sustain herself but don't expect much help from her either. She would spend most of her time sleeping, sometimes several days in a row and she is totally disconected from human society. Plus she always had guardians to watch over her so don't expect her to do things like chores.

So 3/5, you'll be on your own but it's not like she would ask much of you.
0/5

She is an extremely inportant religious figure (Daughter of the goddess, companion of the Hero-King and prophet of Naga), so expect a lot of pilgrim at your doorstep. She is also the target of cult like the Grimleal so you can get caught in the crossfire. You also won't see her a lot since she sleep a lot and can even fall asleep while doing things like talking.

Also from the Nah/F Robin support we learn that sometimes Manakete need to go on a rampage and destroying a few things its like an itch for them and it will be pretty hard to explain to the justice that the reason your roomate burned the nearest forest to the ground is because it's good for a mentale health.

14/25, it's pretty obvious that dragons aren't the best roomate you can have and you can end up even lower by picking her young version.

Chucky

2/5

He is a murderous and foul-mouthed doll with zero regard for anyone but himself. He’s manipulative, sadistic, and always scheming to transfer his soul into a human body. Living with him would literally be a nightmare. You’d constantly be looking over your shoulder and fearing for your life.
2/5

Him being a doll, he doesn’t need much space and isn’t likely to break things due to size or clumsiness. However, he will destroy things for fun or as part of his murderous antics, so your furniture or belongings probably won’t remain intact when he’s around, and your walls might also end up covered in blood.
1/5

He might be small, but he’s a relentless killer with an arsenal of weapons and the ability to use his size to his advantage. Sharing a house with him is essentially inviting your demise. Even if you think you can overpower him, he’s sneaky enough to catch you off guard.
3/5

He doesn’t really need food, sleep, or traditional care, which is a slight plus. However, he’s unlikely to contribute to chores, bills, or anything constructive. In fact, he’d probably find ways to make your life harder, like setting traps or leaving messes for you to clean up. You’d essentially be the sole adult in the household while dealing with his chaos.
1/5

His notoriety as a killer means you’d be constantly at risk of being dragged into his messes. Authorities, survivors, or other supernatural forces might show up looking for him or worse, for you. The only reason he doesn’t get a 0 here is that his small stature, high intelligence, and ability to lie low might keep attention off him for long periods.

Overall the Chuckster gets a 9/25

NoLegs the Cat

So, NoLegs is a bit of a abrasive dick, even if you cant understand him- you can infer that he's going to be insulting you if you do something, along with a kinda dirty sense of humor and doesnt take insults well. Despite that, he is loyal to those who have passionate spirits (implied in the Bestiary entry in EBF5), and will probably stick around if he likes you (and warm up). Still a 2/5 with the starter stuff

NoLegs, while being a limbless cat thats half the height of Matt, is still a cat. If you can house a cat, you can probably house NoLegs, and he can even eat human food (including fruits/veggies, but he doesnt like them). However, he is a gleeful kelpto....sooooo.....3/5? Yeah, sounds about right

NoLegs most likely wont kill you if your a decent person, though keep aware of NoLegs arsenal of weapons- and general casting of magic. 3/5 i'd say

NoLegs is a cat, even if he's a different type of cat with the intelligence of a human. Honestly, shouldnt be that bad, but 4/5 because he is smart enough to cause some trouble

You remember how i said NoLegs is a klepto? Yeah. If he gets out, or a chance, he's gonna start stealing stuff, and when NoLegs starts stealing stuff, the cops get involved/ Not good. 0/5

Overall, NoLegs gets a 12/25. Not someone you'd want, but better then some of the others here

Ren "Joker" Amamiya (I'll be assuming we share a home, during the events of the game.)

5/5

Erudite, Lionhearted, Transcendent, Angelic, Debonair—what more could one ask for in a roommate? Japing aside, Ren is evidently a thoughtful, compassionate, and amiable person who would have no ill intentions (nor would he make any actions) towards an innocent.
5/5

Outside of the Metaverse, Ren is depicted as an average teenager in terms of physical strength, and nothing about his personality suggests he would be particularly destructive in any capacity (quite the opposite, in fact, considering how much you can decorate the attic in the game.)
5/5

See above, basically. Ren would never hurt an innocent person, nor does he do anything in the "real world" that is particularly dangerous.
5/5

Ren is capable of living on his own perfectly fine, and he can clean and cook well. He's very much an ideal roommate in this regard. He also makes quite a bit of money from defeating enemies in the Metaverse and can work multiple jobs as well, so rent would be paid.
4/5

Despite Ren's Phantom Thief activities throughout the entire game, he's really good at not letting it bleed into his personal life and drawing attention to himself or Cafe Leblanc. In a worst case scenario, I would take the place of Sojiro in the original story, hiding Ren after his fake death and haboring the rest of the Phantom Thieves before the Shido heist. While I would get arrested by the police, it would ultimately be a mild inconvenience for me, as Sojiro was immediately released after Shido's treasure was stolen, due to a lack of evidence.

24/25 for the leader of the Phantom Thieves.
