wowzers a CRT from me that's not a rework... crazy!

just some stuff that I noticed that shouldn't be on some of the pages while skimming through them.

1. Damage Reduction for Public Safety Suits

Damage Reduction (Devil hunter suits are noted to be "sturdy" and capable of defending the user from lethal attacks)

This one bugged me out for the longest time ever since I saw it on Katana Man's profile. Now it's on basically ever profile.

The Public Safety Suits doesn't magically give the wearer an ability to reduce damage. It reduces damage through sheer durability, not some kind of ability. I mean if that's all it takes, we might as well give anyone with any piece of armour on the wiki 'damage reduction' on their pages.


2. Kishibe's Quote

It is true that the son of a ***** is a troublemaker... and nobody would be affected if he left. But he seeks to kill the Gun Devil... I can't kill the Gun Devil by myself... To kill it... I'll need the help of all the capable Devil Hunters I can to face it. Even if my life is shortened... I won't let Denji get killed!

3. Supernatural Willpower for Aki

Supernatural Willpower (Has an obsessive goal of killing the Gun Devil throughout the course of his life, which made him go to significant lengths to achieve his goal)

None of this really fits the description especially no scans were provided for the "go to significant lengths to achieve his goal" part.

Officially, SW is classified as having willpower that can "go vastly beyond what should logically be possible for them, with more extreme cases being able to oppose natural phenomena such as death". In all honestly, Aki does nothing in the series that fits this description. The best showing he has is taking a stab to the abdomen for Denji and then endures staying in the Eternity Devil's pocket realm for 3 days after that. While impressive, there real life accounts of people experiencing arguably more impressive showings than what Aki had to experience. Plus, it wasn't like he didn't get treatment from Power and the others immediately afterwards. Also Aki spent most of that 3 days literally doing nothing as well, just taking a long rest; not needing to exert himself beyond that.


4. Tabbers
I don't like how some of the tabbers look. Like Yoshida has his stuff written like this:

Contracted Abilities
- Devil Contracts:
---Octopus Devil

Having both Contracted Abilities and then Devil Contracts seems extremely redundant. More so due to the fact he only has one Devil Contract. I suggest removing the "Devil Contracts" part so it looks like this:

Same applies to Himeno's page. Also we totally should have Aki's P/A written like this instead


5. Notable Attacks / Techniques & Standard Tactics
Some of the pages have stuff listed under "Notable Attacks/Techniques" & "Standard Tactics" that just ain't that. Should be removed.

• 'Bullet Flesh' on the Gun Devil's page
  • Not a technique nor an attack. It's not even something the Gun Devil intentionally does.
  • The stuff written in the 'Bullet Projection' part can also be rewritten as the ability allow it target specific people based on certain conditions it wants. However, the stuff written makes it seem like it can only target adult males and people born in Jan, Feb, Mar, June, Aug, Sep, Nov and Dec which simply isn't true.
    • Also I'd rather not have it literally plagiarise the CSM Wiki lol.
• 'Fiend Physiology' on Asa's page
  • Edit: Instead of the removal of this, I believe it's better to rename this to "Host Transference" instead
• 'Knifemanship', 'Hand-to-Hand Combat' and 'Preparation' on Kishibe's page listed in his "Standard Tactics" section
  • Everything written under the first two sections belongs in 'Intelligence' section really. Nothing there is "standard" for Kishibe to open with, it's just literally writing what's shown in his fights.
  • Preparation isn't even spelled right on the page.

Also, like I mentioned earlier, there seems to be a massive plagiarism problem on a lot of these pages. A lot of what's written within these "Notable Attacks/Technique" is blatantly just straight up 1-to-1 copied from the Chainsaw Man Wiki. Himeno, Aki Hayakawa, Akane Sawatari, Yoshida, Quanxi, Santa Claus (Chainsaw Man), Cosmo (Chainsaw Man), Samurai Sword (Chainsaw Man) and Reze all suffer from this problem. Like come on... y'all couldn't have at least changed it up at least a little bit.

Pretty sure this is against the site's editing rules as well ¯\(ツ)/¯. Stuff needs to be rewritten.

Yeah there's also present/past tense issues everywhere.

Well dang that's really bad. Definitely something that needs to be fixed... by someone who isn't me since I never made those profiles so I'm not responsible.

Agree with everything but this, in the description for it it states “In combat, this allows both Asa and Yoru to fight at the same time, with Asa maintaining control most of the time and then releasing Yoru in bursts to follow up on her attacks.”

I think because it describes how this unique physiology can be used as a technique for combat, I think it staying there should be fine, it also keeps the powers and abilities section from being overcrowded with paragraphs. Edit: Would say im generally neutral on it though and don’t mind it going in powers and abilities if everyone else thinks it should.

I think it should be kept, but renamed to "Host Transfer" or "Body Control Transfer" or something like that.

The only thing I disagree with is the Fiend stuff on Asa and Yoru's page, their symbiotic relationship is genuinely important in terms of combat and plays a role in their style.

Idrc if it's renamed to better fit a "notable attack" but it should stay in the page. I didnt put it there just for fluff.

I've been going through a bunch of other profiles on the wiki today.

And I'm fine with keeping it on the page now but yeah, it would be better to rename it to "Host Transference" or something.

Don't worry, I have nothing against you.

It's just that plagiarism on this wiki has irked me for quite some time.... especially so after some bozo literally copy-pasted like half of what I wrote myself for the Boba Fett vs Predator G1 Blog into the the Predator page on this wiki. Like I have no problem with people taking info from there; that's like half the point of why the blog exists in the first place duh. But not even bothering to rewrite stuff in your own way just screams indolence... but ehh that's an entirely different matter in itself.

Counter argument: Aki resists the Gun devil when he became Aki-47. Also this make seem like a stretch but he was able to recover from the Darkness devil incident very quickly, kobeni quite her job, power got traumatized really bad to the point where she asked denji to sleep with her, denji didn't get affect much cause he is denji, but aki literally was traumatized just like power but he was still able to keep going and wanted to continue the job.

No? Part of his personality remains because that's how Fiends work, but the Gun Fiend still killed a bunch of people and only stopped when killed.

The Darkness Devil incident did make him give up on killing the Gun Devil, hence why he asked for his division to back out of the mission. He couldn't stand the thought of losing Denji and Power.
