Chainsaw Man discussion thread

Hm. Guess that Yoru's weapon summoning in general is FTL.
Gauntlets basically snailed Pochers when summoned (wasn't it calc'd at 10c pr something?), she was able to summon Michigan/Oregon sword while Pochita was lunging at her at full speed and now Flag Spear getting FTL
 
They got the Axe devil contained in the pentagon and its a deterrent against Pochita trust. Makes a 100km large axe and just destroys half of Japan

To this day I still wonder where do JJK scalers get all these "Gigatons" out from, like ain't the biggest DC in the verse is a nuke the size of a ward?

I don't even think Raga scales because those dismantles were turning him into fruit juice.

Idk abt Yorozu scaling either even with her armor, but if only Gojo ends up scaling, I genuinely believe yall can pull it off.

This one was from splitting a cloud, with the verses current scaling the jump from a feat like that in comparison to other manga feats will cause struggle.
 
Does anyone even scale to those, considering Sukunas slashes has always left gigantic slices on people, not like anyone ever tanks them

I'm shaky on whether or not Untamed raga gets it but Shinjuku Raga definitely scales as he hurt gojo, can take gojo plunches (and black flashes to protect fraudkuna), and stated by gojo to below in the crowd of him and sukuna

Pulling the DC argument like Yoru's Moon Spear didn't destroy only two buildings :ROFLMAO: ✌️
 
15f Sukuna holds back and Mahoraga could be argued to adapt to ap, if we go with the anime, it's very clear Mahoraga doesn't scale. I'm fine with ignoring certain stuff like Yuji thinking Yuta could handle 15f. Then weak Sukuna kinda just holds back dozens of times instead. Either way, it upscales Gojo tremendously.

I think he means the context of the feat. It comes from the anime, where they create new scenes to enhance VFX and fight enjoyability, and what they do is canon. However, it becomes an issue when you try to use an animated feat like that and compare it to other attacks within the verse that are displayed as strong, like Fuga for example.

The idea of Dismantle being thousands of times stronger than every feat ever shown is questionable as to whether it could actually work. Yoru's spear is not a nuke, it's functionally a spear and can only generate damage that fits around its frame or slightly larger, as we have seen which would be through kinetic energy. For example, if the Gun Devil in the anime clears the skies with his movements and we get gigaton results, it would be more likely to be accepted than JJK. This is because we already have feats within that range and despite it being a visual, it would still be canon and would not be a massive jump from what the verse has already shown through a random feat.

no, it made a cut on his neck but didn't go straight through.
We then see a better view of the damage when gojo doesn't heal, the damage is minor

It's not even a jump. This is a huge misunderstanding that I've kinda done to other verses, but a feat recently calced doesn't matter to outdated scaling. Most of our previous scaling has been very faulty, since 2023 we were scaling most high tiers off Ryu's calc, which was reduced to like mcb, then we scaled people off Gojo's powering a nation which no one actually scaled to, then there was a whole earthquake H7A arc, now we've been sitting on Mechamaru 7C calc which was recalced to being 7B and we have like 3 H7C calcs for high tiers, some a bit hard to scale to everyone but still helpful in showing higher scaling. Also we have Dabura at 7b to 7A as well, so we have like four viable 7b-7A calcs for god tiers with H7C-7B for high tiers. It's all coming together, too well...

I see, still feels weird tho, thats like scaling randoms fodder to Zoro's slashes in One Piece because they didnt immediately exploded from his city size slashes

If yall have your work coming together, like a calc within the megaton or gigaton range, you're set. The only issue I was having was that currently the strongest destructive attack would've been Fuga which is City level and a random Dismantle from an anime cloud splitting feat would have topped that a thousandfold. You get my suspicions.

He scales to that one in specific? He deflects it to the sky and Sukuna begins yapping about Maho seeing his technique, he launched it at maho though.

It's not a random dismantle, the ones launched in Shibuya are the biggest ones he's done. If anything, the anime sorta indicates he took Mahoraga more serious than anyone else with the amount of power he's putting in dismantles. The anime could show some crazier stuff once it gets to 16f but you get my point. I think Fuga calcs are wank btw, his Domains the strongest in destruction given Fuga doesn't actually destroy anything, it just uses everything already destroyed as fuel.
 
Also, ngl. WIth the way MAPPA cooked with Sukuna v Mahoraga/Jogo and the Reze fight, it wouldn't surprise me if we get Relativistic Gun Devil with solid 7-B rating
 
If the folks at JJK are gonna take the anime serious does that mean Mahoraga gonna get Low High Regen cuz bro was not coming back from blood splatter in the manga
