Since slandering Reze is now allowed, I can make my confession: I don't see anything in her: Honeypot, that falls in love with her target, what an original and unexpected development. Other notable female(Makima, Power, Nayuta, Asa) characters just blow her out of water.

More so, Reze and Denji mirror each other because both of them are denied ordinary lives by the power inside them. Reze was turned into a weapon from childhood and forced into the life of a mercenary because her hybrid body made her too valuable to ever be treated like a normal person. Denji seems different at first because he defeats Makima, but he is still trapped by the fact that he is Chainsaw Man. The same power that gives him freedom also ruins any real chance at a peaceful life, because everyone around him wants something from it. In that sense, both of them reflect the same tragedy.

Once a person becomes fused with a devil, they stop being seen as a person first and start being treated like a tool. Reze's final physical appearance as Makima's puppet makes that especially cruel because it reduces her right back into what the world always wanted her to be, a weapon under someone else's control. Denji survives that fate more than Reze does, but he never truly escapes it either.

Only near the end of the manga, when his devil had the power to separate from Denji so he could have a better life, was Denji ever truly free of Chainsaw Man. Asa was invited into that world, which rid her of Yoru and gave her the true second chance she longed for. Reze was not. As Fujimoto said, she really was a lingering curse. A tragic character indeed.

You seem to be confused. Up toward the Gun Devil battle, Makima had died 29 times. Later in her fight against Pochita she was killed an extra 26 times, likely from being sawed by CSM off panel.

Regarding Tatsumaki, I honestly wish Fujimoto had done something similar with the Falling Devil because we do have statements and all, but wow, what a feat and the artwork too, gorgeous.

The good thing of OPM is how consistent character PLs are. Murata makes sure to include a tier 6 feat every fight she's in.
WIch avoids the constant slandering a lot of other verses get due to relying on statements/lore.

My guess is that it's the combo of romance and tragedy wrapped up in melodrama (helped by how great the movie was as a great audiovisual experience). Readers/audiences really eat that up. Reminds me of how people completely lost it when the Oshi no Ko anime premiered and the first episode killed off Ai after going out of its way to make her likeable and sympathetic, even voting Oshi no Ko as the best anime of all time on some sites. But after that shock wore out, the series just went on and even the staff and some fans wondered why the hype died down so noticeably. Or another example, pretty much how Oscar bait movies work.

Not dissing Reze or anything, but in general, pulling the audience's heartstrings is a good way to get them. Broken hearts and being denied a happy ending are particularly effective tropes.

It's kind of weird because this manga chapter is almost exactly a one-to-one adaptation of the original webcomic chapter, which was the first time in that story where Genos beat a Disaster level Dragon monster. The thing is, in the manga, he already has beaten Disaster level Dragon monsters, and he even has an attack in the previous that (at least according to our profiles) scales to moon level, which makes him getting beaten up here feel kind of weird to me.

Regarding Tatsumaki, I honestly wish Fujimoto had done something similar with the Falling Devil because we do have statements and all, but wow, what a feat and the artwork too, gorgeous.

I agree, it would've been nice to see the extent of the Falling Devil's destruction.

theres a small error on the pixel scaling that was used for gun goddess bullet weight

the current gun goddess calc its this one, and it uses a 6536.217kg weight for the bullet from the old gun goddess calc by Eljoaki5

thing is that to get the size of the gun goddess bullet, as seen in scan 1, it compared the size of Aging Devil head to pochitas head, and in scan 2 it compared the bullet to aging devil head

so it started from pochitas head size, which he got from this calc (23.6842cm head, and pochita being 2.08m tall from that head size),

but later on of that pochita height calc, for the pochita orbital baseball pitch, slight recalc 2, elajruengues said that the 2.08m result was low, pointing out how pochitas is likely 8ft tall (much taller than kobeni or others) and how the calc was done from assuming Denjis head to pochitas head as the same, he using instead the 253.15cm pochita height that gunshyfever was told from CGM chaariot, using the same pixel measurements of the 2.08m pochita but upscaling the pixels to be taller, there getting and higher pochita arm, and so, a taller pochita head would be gotten for gun goddes calc use

in the now current pochita orbital baseball pitch, the slight recalc 2 arm measurements are still used

TL;DR: current accepted calcs in the verse would technically be using 2 different pochitas height calcs for the arm and head sizes

the calcs would change like this: 253.15cm pochita is 1.2143x times bigger than 208cm pochita, so the head would go from 23.6842cm to now 28.76174cm head

so if pochita head is that times bigger, so aging devil head and so the gun goddess bullet

the gun goddess bullet is 1.2143x times bigger in every dimension, being 1.7908x times heavier

the KE results would go from 2.737 gigatons to now 4.92 Gigatons of TNT (Island Level, it was Mountain Level+ before)

maybe to keep things more organized, a separate calc redoing the bullet weight could be done for Accertainbcplayer gun goddess calc using it as a source
