Centuria General Discussion Thread

The First Seat has a name now, that's reassuring.
The monsters in Balkar Loa looked really good, escpecially the doublespread. I think Ceodric is definitely an interesting character now, he's more multi-faceted than I predicted.

Noticed that Helem considered Ceodric both "a cut above Altus" and "on par with Julian". It's good for incorporating Altus and Julian's scaling.
 
I liked the Diana development, and some worldbuilding on Helem's Gift and Vulja's vessels. Already added Julian's new stamina statement.
 
I'm late but the reveal of Lalawag's powers was pretty cool, the ability of multiplication is busted
 
How do yall scale Atlus rock drop, which was casual to Arko's casual water bolts
 
I think dropping the rock was easy for Altus, but he was still expecting it to be a certain kill. Arkos is a battle-junkie holdsbackman, he can canonically make Altus's gift look like childs play but he could also be putting less oomph behind a basic water bolt than Altus put behind that rock.

Damn was hoping to scale Julian to low 7C for shrugging off Arkos casual bolts, tho he could still can considering Arkos was shocked at Julian dura and decide to actually try and use his more serious attacks which should mean anything less then a serious compress shot was not going to effective in Arkos's eyes, which should put him somewhere around Atlus casual, weakened Gift
 
Now that i know this thread exists, imma bout to reread all Centuria to find feats and such. Be prepared for annoying questions
 
Only chain you can follow to get tier 7 Julian is Helem's appraisal that Altus < Ceodric ≈ Julian. But it probably isn't concrete.

And there are no annoying questions, the more active the better.

My logic is: Arkos casual attacks~Atlus Weakened Casual attacks~Jule's dura<<Arkos serious attacks. Since Arkos was visibly shocked by Jule and decide the only way to deal with him is go all out which should put Jul somewhere in the middle of his "power level" which in turn should be comparable to Atlus casual attack using a Weakened gift. Helem's statements also help

The idea was kinda brought up before

I don't think the statements necessarily mean Arkos' entire liquid manipulation is stronger than the rock drop, just like Arkos' top AP >> Atlus' rock drop tbh

Most of the time he's using attacks weaker than the rock drop since "he was the type to enjoy the kill"

Think Tier 7 for Julian would be a bit much considering his level only really got 8-C-ish showings
 
Question: since Atlus Low 7-C feat is done by GPE, continuously supporting and counteracting the weight and force of the rock with his water manip doesnt this mean his shield should be able to support and withstood such force as well making his shield and Dura with water manip Low 7-C as well ? This differ from his usual one shot blast feats since this time the water can exert and maintained such force over a period of time which mean his water barrier should be able to do the same ?

The water isn't tanking any force, GPE is Potential energy
GPE energy is only exerted once it's falls, which the water isn't tanking since it's just moisture within the giant rock

The three tier 7 ap liquid manipulation feats don't really have a reason to scale to the liquid manipulation durability
We directly know that compressing his water makes it's AP > it's water shield durability by it cutting off 100-Fold Julian's arm who can break through Arkos' water barrier. His current Town level feat is a compressed beam

The city sinking feat isn't a durability feat for liquid manipulation either since it's just water being water (Wouldn't say a tsunami has durability comparable to it's ap)
 
Also can someone explain to me the 7-C feat, what KE is being calc ? The water or the clouds ?

Tbh I think the rock destruction and cloud dispersal would be better to calc for the feat but LOK decided to calc the water beam KE instead

I also think the rock destruction (especially since he didint just destroy it but flung a portion of it as well which can get KE out off) and cloud could potentially be higher, someone should do it just in case
 
Yeah I should do some more calcs, been sitting on one for Roche's max sin flame that's 7-B to High 7-A (Variation is on what panel is used to find the size)

Might be able to calc Julian deflecting Lacrima's and Orthros' water whips with the method shown here
tho it would be a lot easier if we had an anime version of these scenes
 
I also saw the Lukas spear is 8-B but doesnt have calc attached to it.

Also, may find a way for Jule to scale higher into 8-C with the old calc, considering he can break through both Arkos water shield and blood armor with a single punch, both of which have been shown to casually block attacks from the likes of Angvall, who's 8-C. Does this mean Julian is 2x the 8-C value, kinda fit with the narrative and feats tbh: One shot forest beast, Angvall stated he can easily kill her with his gift, ragdolls and decapitate a more serious Arkos with his blows
 
In chp 29, the King blitzed both of the witches we know to reach the prophetess, could be something notable

That's Zab's guesstimation of the rock breaking feat, it just hasnt been calced yet
I'm not entirely sure if it is calcable since the one panel we get of it's destruction is very unclear in size tbh

Lukas create a hole from one end of the stone to the other and we know the height of the rock from the Atlus calc right, from there just calc the size of the hole ?

The full height of the rock is covered up by dust

So we wouldn't be able to use the rock's height to find the diameter of the hole
 
I think just having the spear scale to Low 7-C since Lukas says it "evens the playing field" after seeing Arkos' rock drop and the narrative implication that it should be comparable to this shield (i.e the whole invincible shield and unstoppable spear trope) might work better

But the problem is the panel doesn't give a good view of the rock for us to use those dimensions

Full height is obscured as I already brought up, the length goes off panel, and the width isn't usable since part of it's width got destroyed

The POV is a little skewed too so trying to continue the curve of the rock offpanel will likely be off

Personally just gonna hope the eventual anime adaptation, better happen since it's made top 10 in manga to be made anime lists, will clear it up

Lukas and gang was directly beneath the rock, it fell on top of them, Lukas used his spear to bore a hole from the bottom straight to the top of the rock, so doesnt this meam the height of the hole is also the height of the rock ?

Dont we already have the height in relation to the fort ? Or are assuming it broke apart, cuz nothing seems to suggest so
 
I think you might be confused what I'm saying the problem is

Here's a rough visualization I quickly made, the green is the destroyed area and the red is the shown width

Since one side of the rock is destroyed (notice the sheered flat edge that's facing the camera and the smoke in front it) we know what we see isn't the full width of the rock but rather the width of the rock after it got partially destroyed (marked it in lime green)
So the shown width is less than the rock's regular width by an unknown amount

The ground is obscured by the smoke caused by the fallen debris, so the height shown is less than the rock's regular height by an unknown amount

I dont see how the height wouldve decreased from its original, considering Luka and gang are still sitting at the ground where they originally were and the hole reaches from there to the top of the rock which mean its height should be relative the the rock's og height
 
You might still be able to use height of the rock but the bottom of the rock (where the Lukas and the others would be) is obscured by the smoke so it would be a bit of an overestimation

Id say it's fair, the rock seems to just mostly crack and split off to the side, its bottom doesnt seem to have shrunken much
