Can this be Infinite Speed?

Basically, a group of characters enters a specific portal located at the edge of their reality. Beyond this gateway lies an emptiness that is stated to be infinite, and nobody has ever survived going through this portal since they would instantly get devoured / swallowed whole by such emptiness. But this group of characters withstand such erasure and find themselves arriving in an alternate world by coming out of a portal that is very similar to the one they entered initially (behind which the same infinite emptiness lies, located at the edge of this reality). And they arrive in this alternate world a few moments after they initially enter the portal.

So, yeah. Can this be a potential Infinite speed feat?

Not unless they crossed the emptiness themselves. Also, it's a portal, so they likely just teleported.

Hmmmm.... so you mean something like the traversal being instant? Like say portals from Portal where once you stick your hand in them, that hand will instantly appear at the place of a secondary portal (so there's no actual space to traverse in-between the portals)?

Because in this case the way I see it being implied in this little story here is as follows: Human World ---(Portal)---> infinite emptiness ---(Portal)---> Alien World. Especially since it fells like they are trying to sell the fact that beyond such portal is this emptiness first, and that the portal is the emptiness itself.

Oh and this and this is how the portal looks like from the Human World, and this is how it looks on the map from the Alien World, if it helps a bit to visualize stuff.
