Can I scale my Dungeons & Dragons campaign?

Yes, it is allowed. Here are some that have already been made

And yes, you'd be able to use actual scaling from main D&D. The spells and CRs still apply, as do the calcs and scaling

Of course, if there any changes to the core mechanics, you'd want to take those into account too. For example, if for some reason Burning Hands was made into a 6th level spell or the range/aoe of the spell was changed, it would no longer scale to lower leveled characters.
