Berserk General Discussion Thread

Quick question: do we consider Guts and Griffith harming Zodd (and even cutting off his arm, in the latter’s case) as an outlier?

I've been think that Guts Profile Key should instead be this:

Beginning Of Golden Age | End Of Golden Age | Black Swordsman | Berserker Armor
9-B (
Violently Fragmented Samson Mace which yields this much energy) | 9-A, higher with Dragon Slayer (Scales to Wylad who can do this) | 8-A, higher with Arm Cannon (Matched Mozgus' God Breath which yields this much energy) | 8-A, higher with Activated Berserk Armor (Prevented A Lightnig Strike with dragon slayer which yields this much energy)
My reasoning is:
Armor shows changing Guts Physique
The Armor is explicitly stated to continuously emit od, od is explicitly stated to empower a person

I think I should do a deep dive into magic in Berserk.
yes,

It got debunked and taken out

Oops...

Iirc another problem the original calc took with the idea of the guy being thrown is that due to the guy inevitably having to slow down at some point in the arc to actually fall at such an angle as to land on the spike, people would've noticed what's up before he seemingly got teleported onto the spike

Edit: nah they didn't bring that up, they just didn't do it cus they just didn't wanna do the extra math lol. The point stands that throwing the guy would require throwing him at at least comparable speed to carrying him, as deceleration due to gravity needs to be accounted for in order to fit the movement into a blitz timeframe. Thus, even if he wasn't carried, the recalc should be a good placeholder until a throwing calc can be done.

Oh, this is the debunk? I disagree then.

1. In my calculation, I use Site Standard timeframes in place of the old ones, so it's fine by our rules from that standpoint.

2. Throwing him seems kind of...weird? Like, if he were to throw him, he'd either need to baseball pitch him into the spire, which would cause at least one hand of his body to be ripped in half due to the spike stopping midway through his body (an injury that isn't shown, or at the very least, isn't clear enough to see); or, he'd need to toss him in an arc to perfectly Aland him onto the spire directly in the middle. The latter at least matches the wound, but then, everyone would have seen him come down, as he'd be falling at a regular speed of gravity.

But, even if we did accept him throwing the guy as a possibility, I don't see any reason why him just traveling there isn't equally as likely, so it'd still be a "Possibly" ranking.

I agree with Guts break barrel, but the Supersonic Calc most likely fall under Evading Punches rule.

Huh, I didn't even know that was a rule; the more you know.

Supersonic Bebeh Guts is WILD 😭

On a more serious note, I don't think Guts is reacting to a sword strike last-moment in that panel, the dude with the sword says "answer!" so pretty clearly imo is trying to coerce Guts into explaining himself. Thusly, he probably stopped his sword just short of striking, at which point Guts reacted.

Low 7-C Nuts Berserk was always the truth in my heart
And also cus it just makes sense when base Guts is 8-A, but that ain't important

All Berk Bros, current plan is this.
1. Get The Dragon Slayer Recalc Pushed Through
2. Get ElJoak5's Lightning Recalc Accepted (Hopefully with Updated Dragon Slayer Weight)
3. CRT Guts to 7-C as well Farnese and Schriek CRT

Best Case Scenario: Both Me and ElJoak5's calc get accepted in which case. Guts is now 7C
Mid Case Scenario: Only one of our gets accepted in which case Guts has a Low 7-C Rating
Worst Case Scenario: Both of ours gets rejected.

Even is the Worst Case Scenario, my debunk of Viott's Dragon Slayer Weight should atleast get the ball rolling on a Dragon Slayer recalc.
Funnily enough, both me and ElJoak5 are recalcing Viott's Calc.
Regardless Of the case, I do have enough evidence for a CRT on Farnese and Schrieke, but hopefully we can bundle that with a Guts Upgrade
