As the title says. Berserk has returned, and has already given numerous new chapters, but I don't see much talk about it, so I decided to make this, also because it's an ongoing thing again, even if the updates aren't very common (next one is over a month away). Imo, any series that is ongoing should have a discussion thread, it doesn't make much sense not to.

Latest chapter is 370.

Recap of recent events:

Apparently the mystery kid who Casca had become attached to was Griffith in some kind of disguise, that was revealed in the last chapter done by Miura though. It resulted in Guts not being able to harm Griffith, Griffith kidnapping Casca, and Griffith destroying the island. Unsurprisingly, Guts is mentally broken, losing Casca again, to the same person that had broken her mind in the first place, RIGHT after her mind was restored. Also, Isma just ******* dies apparently.

Yeahhhh it looks a bit sus to me reading the chapters where this happened, doesn't look viable for any kind of reliable durability feat imo.

We don't know any details and the information we do have seems too small. Like, maybe a "possibly" could be considered. It's also very inconsistent, scaling wise.

Man, crazy how Berserk is almost dead on the wiki; almost unheard of for such a well known and respected series.
 
Honestly, I think 1-A for the Idea of Evil is possible with how it's presented, and how much it revolves around the collective unconscious and Jungian Archetypes, which would make all of the Godhand's Smurfs lol. Only problem would be determining whether or not to use it, as it isn't strictly canon anymore.

Tbf it was "removed" from canon cus Miura realized he showed his hand in regards to lore way too early in the story. IoE is pretty much non-canon by technicality only and most likely was just put back on the shelf to be brought in at a better time

From what I know all of them scale a character to outer in CSAP but does VSBW accept it?

Apparently they can be depending on the context, which they likely mean with exactly how much it's elaborated on. As far as why, I'm not entirely sure yet; it probably has something to do with how much it is based on Plato's forms, which are definitely 1-A if described how they traditionally are.

I've been think that Guts Profile Key should instead be this:

Beginning Of Golden Age | End Of Golden Age | Black Swordsman | Berserker Armor
9-B (Violently Fragmented Samson Mace which yields this much energy) | 9-A, higher with Dragon Slayer (Scales to Wylad who can do this) | 8-A, higher with Arm Cannon (Matched Mozgus' God Breath which yields this much energy) | 8-A, higher with Activated Berserk Armor (Prevented A Lightnig Strike with dragon slayer which yields this much energy)
My reasoning is:
Armor shows changing Guts Physique
The Armor is explicitly stated to continuously emit od, od is explicitly stated to empower a person

I think I should do a deep dive into magic in Berserk.
