So uh, now that the BDE page has been updated and Type 2 BDE is listed as Low 1-A,

Does that mean Type 3 BDE automatically qualifies as 1-A?

If a character is 1-A but only has Type 2 BDE, is that invalid?

Can any BDE type other than Type 3 reach 1-A?

This is invalid, but mostly due to not up to date profile rather than the reasoning, because you get the ability via the tier, not the other way around

No, BDE Type 3 is exclusively for 1-A and above

It is not invalid, since we can separate the level of power and the level of existence under Tier 0. A character can have an existence that transcends all dimensions (Low 1-A), with power that is qualitatively different from any dimension within lower realities.

Dude what?, you are talking about a very specific case where non 1-A can have 1-A smurf power. I think the OP is talking about general case

Your abilities and your level of power are different things. You can have 1-A abilities, but still your own attack power (potency) isn’t 1-A. I put it in a way where it isn’t invalid since he didn’t say what he meant, whether it was just in tier or in existence too.

Yes. tho Type 3 range covers anything from 1-A all the way upto High 1-A+.
