These calculations all use calculated speeds based on methods of calculating vibrations that vary in intensity, but they all use the upper echelon of earthquakes for them.
These make no sense.
The first 2 have the skyscrapers shaking at 6 meters per second, while even the highest catastophic earthquakes on earth move at 0.0141 meters per second. Please note, the highest magnitude for an earthquake ever recorded was a 9.5, and 10s move at 0.0141 m/s.
The first one's damage doesn't match up to even half of those magnitudes. The highest damage done was leaving a large crack on a window right next to the epicenter of the manmade quake, which is intensity 5, or magnitude 4 when it comes to damage.
The second one's damage was more apparent, but it didn't even show damage to... anything else. It was just a violent quake.
The last one was so slight that it's damage was slightly shaking a full cup of water to where a drop of water left it, and the dude didn't even know there was an earthquake or a vibration until he saw that, while the lady on the other side of the table didn't notice it. That's barely even intensity 3, or mag 2.
Using 33 or 30 hertz for earthquakes of this magnitude make little to no sense, and getting vibrations of several hundred centimeters for these make little to no sense as well.
They should just use the velocities here for each feat.
First one: Middle of Mag 4, or 1.41 – 4.65 cm/s. Average is 3.03 cm/s or 0.0303 m/s
1/2 * 10906328125 * 0.0303^2 = 5006495.39414 joules or 0.001196581 tons
Second one can use the same magnitude as above: Middle of Mag 4, or 1.41 – 4.65 cm/s. Average is 3.03 cm/s or 0.0303 m/s
1/2 * 1900778736.58 * 0.0303^2 = 872542.975133 joules or 0.000208543 tons
Third one: Intensity 3 or Mag 2, using 1.41 cm/s or 0.0141 m/s
1/2 * 515574720 * 0.0141^2 = 51250.7050416 joules or 0.000012249 tons
Shaking feats aren't that impressive. Something like shaking a skyscraper getting city block with effects like those make little sense.
