because my friend doesn't like it, we're having Atriox fight a damn bug. Atriox has just his fists, Caterpie has all the moves it can learn, speed is equalized. Fight takes place in Viridian City.

Atriox just for his pure strength, he crushed a Spartan helmet in his hand with ease. I don't really think there's too much caterpie can do to him.

I think it's a big scaling mess. I think he's stronger than Chief to a certain degree? That's what I got from his profile.

The 8-C characters in Halo come from Tier jumps; like Gen 2 being 2x stronger than Gen 1 physically. Though, the scaling is kind of all over the place, a few calcs here and there are kind of dated/inflated. Gen 1 scales from the mid end of this calc, but the calc was made back with Rocket Launchers were inflated to be around 3 Gigajoules. Now they're 1.5 Gigajoules, which is still inflated for other reasons. But that's for another thread when I have time and take care of other things first.

Quick question though; what Pokemon type would Atriox's chain breaker most resemble? Seems it could either be rock or ground. The gravity effect gives the impression that it's ground, though the status of being a giant hammer is generally treated as rock in Pokemon.

Bug resists ground type moves, so that's kind of a plus side from Caterpie in addition to the at most 2.54x AP advantage, then again, Atriox is much smarter and could be above baseline at the moment but we don't know for sure. Will lean towards inconclusive.
