Are we still using stats in Undertale to powerscale?

Just wondering. Since Froggit would be probably be around small city level if we still were (I think).

Thanks.

Only CHECK stats, though I doubt Froggit would be that high, since stats aren't linear.
Well Froggit has 4 AT in when Checked. Tsunderplane has 25 AT when Checked.

4/25 x 100 = 16% (so Froggit should have 16% of Tsunderplane's AP)

16% of 37890526216211590 Joules (which is the low end of Tsunderplane) is 6.0624842x10^15 Joules which is Small City level

So it's basically just to see who's more/less powerful than who?

Similar to the Marvel Power Grids?

I have actually something to say about this.

We seems to use Chara's ATK of 99 to scales to NEO and Undying.

But 99 ATK is only with the True Knife. Chara can perform the feat without it. Chara's end games stats are actually 48.

I think the whole ATK and DEF thing shouldn't be applied for scaling multiversal beings as it seems very inconsistent. It might not even take into account their hax and only their "usual" stats.

Idk, it's not like higher characters have feats disproving that, and Asgore tanks LV 19 Chara. But eh.

I never understand this whole "Chara is level 20" thing. It's Chara manipulating Frisk to do his/her bidding. So surely Frisk should be level 20, not Chara

They are borderline the same thing in Genocide, so we often says Chara instead of Grnocide Frisk.
Does that make Froggit multiversal then due to needing a few attacks from "Chara" in order to be defeated?

At that point it's probably gameplay mechanics. Like the fact that enemies aren't one shot in Genocide.

Btw I'm not actually supporting it, just pointing out that it isn't as far fetched as previously thought.

Well is it not clear that the protagonist is clearly getting stronger as the genocide route progresses?

It is, but I don't think Chara one-shotting everything is solely due to power increase. Chara clearly has bloodlust, which monsters are weak against. In fact, if you abort the Genocide run the one shots effect goes away, implying it's less about LV and more about bloodlust.

True, but shouldn't that mean we shouldn't use LV to scale?

Chara did not fully mainfest to full power at the time in the Ruins, the only time they did was when they killed Sans in the Judgment Hall.

That's like scaling Raditz to at least Multi-Galaxy Level due to curbstomping Goku in the beginning of Z.

So when do we know when Chara manifests their full power? Do we guess?

Right there if you weren't able to catch that, they became LV 20 after that. Specifically after killing Flowey when he kills Asgore (at that point Chara addresses the Player and destroys the game).
