Sorry about adding "the" in there. It's called another dimension of reality, however, there is nothing in there and is continuously called "A Void". We first see it with Robotnik experimenting traveling to it and back but we are never told why.

It's not brought up again till Naugus merged the Zone of Silence with the Void, with mention that the Void stabilized the properties of the Zone of Silence, which we never get to see any changes till after the Chaos Emeralds came along and reshaped that universe into the Special Zone.

One thing to mention about the Void; the Void and the area around ground zero of the Existent Erasure of the Ultimate Annihilator, are the only things outside of Power Rings and the Sword of Acorns that brought back free will to the Robians.

Chaos Energy also brought the 1st Robotnik out of erased existence, even only temporary.

I guess Archie's Void would be good as Type 1 Nonexistent Physiology, if anything.
