Oh dear, as someone who's responsible for upgrades of both characters its hard for me to choose.

Hm, I will make up my mind after a few comments. For inquiry, voters can ask me about any of the abilities of both characters if there's need for context. Also for potency of their abilities

You mean Biological Absorption or Energy Absorption? I am not sure that Biological Absorption would work on AS, given AS is non-corporeal (Dormammu never did it against other abstracts afaik). Energy Absorption is fair game however.
 
Dormammu, probably.

He has a good track record of beating people canonically equal or above his level. Umar, Clea with the Faltine Flames and so on.
 
And? That's not exactly impressive if you beat people less haxed then you either....

But they are and Dorm defeated them.

Clea herself has all of Strange's abilities and Dormammu's own level of power, still got stomped by him.
 
Strange is fodder to Dormmamu, even when half serious, so on his level isn't right at all.

As I said:

Clea has Strange's ABILITIES, but her personal power is overall equal to Dormammu.
 
Clea destroyed a being that Dormammu has personally created to defeat him, yet Clea also failed to do the same with Dormammu himself.

She's at least equal to him.

Backed up by multiple handbooks, comics and statements. At the end of the day, Dormammu's adaptability to threats simply outclasses her.
 
Karnak can defeat beings far above his level by exploring its weak points, Super-Adaptoid can become more powerful to handle bigger threats. Why can't Dormammu also possess an ability that let him defeat enemies close to his overall level of power?
 
Having the same level of power is different from being on someone's level.

Not if you got something to tip the scales.

You don't need to have EVERY ability of someone to be at his/her level. Tactical abilities and experience also make a difference in most fights....The way you explore your powers matter a lot, for example.

Anyway, I agree we're derailing.
 
Is Dormammu allowed to call his forces on the Dark Dimension? He has a minion as powerful as the Elder God Set, for example.

And a new race of Mindless One who can now use magic.....

Then its inconclusive. Regen wouldn't give him the win over someone with limitless stamina and an identical moveset, though since the battle isn't in his universe anymore, AS has reality warping and probability manipulation over him.

Actually he absorbed Eternity's energy, not the abstract existence. Sealing and energy absorption is fair game though.
