Am I able to restrict Standard Equipment

I want to restrict Kid Goku's Nimbus and Power Pole to make a match more fair, but I also want the match up to be added. Am I allowed to do so?

Probably because it may cause contradictions to a characters canonical abilities. E.g if you restrict Link's Swords it makes him being a "master swordsman" redundant and then that bleeds in assumption territory which in Vs debating is a headache.

I mean it was brought up if you can use locations to give one fighter an advantage, or a disadvantage, so like
would a fight taking place in something like that be added

Restricting anything that isn't optional equipment, a "possible" or "likely" ability, or any ability or piece of equipment that doesn't grant a change in tiering isn't allowed.

Using a location to restrict these things is still restricting these things, so they can't be added.

This is the official guideline:

It is not fine to restrict abilities in a versus matchup, implicitly or expressly. Matches that are arranged this way should not be added to the character profiles, as they don't involve their full potential, and are only intended for casual entertainment. An exception would be if the restricted ability/technique has a separate tier from the main one. In this case, the match can be added. The match can also be added if Optional Equipments such as optional power-ups and items are restricted, or if the ability being restricted is indexed after a "Likely" or "Possibly" conditional.

From what I've seen, we are allowed to make a match that restricts standard abilities/equipment, but this is discouraged and we are not allowed to link to the match in the character's profile as a notable win/loss.

You can still link a match to the character’s profile if the equipment restricted is a different tier

It said "but this is discouraged" so I think that person meant that you can do it, but the match won't be added to their profiles
