Abstract Existence Question

About AE, i was wondering if being the embodiment of a natural force or a element qualify as some sort of Abstract Existence? As in, the character fits the criteria for Type 2 or 1, but what they embody isn't a concept/emotion/idea/etc, but rather a elemental force and so.

If they're "literally" something physical (such as an element), rather than having their existance bonded with an abstract aspect (generally a concept or something that defines existance in itself), then they don't qualify for Abstract Existance to begin with, otherwise we'd be giving random people Abstract Existance out of being within the concepts of "flesh" and "bone" out of having them.

Hhm i see, tho i didn't quite get the flesh and bone example lol. Also i guess the "physical" thing also depends on what kind of element is being talked of, since some are physical (like Earth) while some aren't (like Fire).

But what i mean is something like, a character that is the embodiment of an element (such as fire, water or electricity) and cannot be killed or regenerate permanently as long as the element still exists (or if they are the non-corporeal element itself). If that were with a concept instead of an element, that would count as AE Type 2, for instance.

In that case shouldn't there probably be a power page for characters that fit within this kind of criteira/definition but what they embody isn't abstract?

Abstract Existance relates to characters that have a significant relation in terms of being to the existance of something that isn't inherently related to them, like how characters are abstract out of their true selves not being physical but bound to the existance of something, and explicitly so.

For that it kinda depends on context, if there's no more details than what you've said on that regard, then yeah no. There's plenty of characters that simply won't die forever until what they use to recover is gone, but abstract existance isn't given with only that, use type 8 immortality instead, most likely.

What kind of more details/context that you mean would be necessary for a power page like that? Like having complete control over the element due to embodying it and something like that?

Essentially without them that said element wouldn't exist (In a way) plus even if you managed to "kill" them via conventional means they'll simply regenerate or resurrect due to being a fundamental part of the world, realm, universe, etc and as long as that element still exists.

The only way to truly kill them is via Concept/Info shenanigans or being able to completely destroy the element they represent/embody.

That's more or less AE type 2 with type 1 needing proof they exist purely as an abstraction of that element and their true form is a higher form of conscience, will, manifestation, etc that's fundamentally different than just being incorporeal.

I mean that's what i was asking about yes, since a character being like that would fit with AE Type 2 criteira but wouldn't count as AE itself because Elements themselves are not Abstract, and existing as the abstraction/concept of an element rather than the element iself would obviously be AE anyway.

Just not sure if a page specifically for characters that fit within AE's criterias but what they embody isn't abstract could be made since it would be pretty much the AE page with just a few differences lol.
