About shadow clones

They were shown to take a beating whiteout dispelling in both the last fight between nartuo and sasuke at the end of series and in episode 4 where kakashi replaced himself with a clone and had them beat each other, so shouldn't they have at least a good durability, better then "dispell on one strong hit" anyways?
