Sometimes a verse may contain real world people playing online games using a game avatar.

We have an existing category called "gamers" for people who are the people playing online games.

What about game avatars? Should a tab for such be used for characters? And, how should such character nature be named?

For example, Roe2 is Shiroe's alternate character avatar in Log Horizo. While Kei Shirogane is a gamer with his original "game avatar" Shiroe. Is Shiroe under the categories "gamers" and "game avatars" while Roe2 is just under "game avatar"?

This will be useful for tagging characters who are game avatars in an online game setting in a light novel verse (which should be a growing number in light novels).

If the character is literally a controlled avatar by the gamer (or in the case of the player from doki doki and the like), then I feel they should fall under the category of the most oppressed group known as gamers.

As for name, I feel it depends. If the real name is a very common one and we have other profiles called the same, I'd say to use the game name to make a better distinction. Otherwise, whichever is used more in the story should be the default.
