Demongo collects the souls of the greatest warriors of history and summons all of those warriors to fight Jack as an army. Jack is forced to defeat them repeatedly. There were around 50+ probably more.

@Schnee regardless of it being a medical feat it is a skill feat as he is taught how to do it by shaolin monks which we see. He has to fight them blind folded as they teach him how to do so.

Voting Wolf FRA, for the record.

Not really. Straight up descriptions in a Fromsoft game aren't really a thing you should ever expect, it isn't how the story is meant to be told.

Basically: Ashina Castle was invaded by the Federal army, including members like the Lone Swordsman. Entire brigades just like him, in fact (Lone Swordsman is a mini boss sometime later in the game). Gyoubu Oniwa was a brigand general recruited for his strength, who now guarded the front gate of Ashina Castle.

Upon the first waves of attack, the results of the attack are visible in Gyoubu's boss arena- hundreds of corpses, all equivalent to this mini boss later in the game, who can kill Wolf, are strewn around the battlefield. The soldiers in earlier areas even say they're pretty confident Gyoubu could stop the entire army if it came to it.

And Wolf killed him while in his 9-A key.
