Nyx is an RPG character, what she starts with is up to her. Also, Persona spells spawn where you are, as shown in P3: The Animation.
Even so, Mudo is stabbing a wooden doll and killing you. It has nothing to do with actual dodging.
Not entirely correct. Nyx is an RPG character, but not player controlled in any way. They have their own style of fighting that isn't indeterminate.
There isn't much to base it off of, since True Nyx has only appeared directly in combat once. But judging by their actions, it seems their starting moves would either to create their avatar to fight for them or use Death.
