Risci, you're straight up downplaying... the same character somehow. Jaune was scared of a Beowulf and completely incapable of fighting one on his own in season 1, whereas now he's capable of holding his own and technically contributed even more against the horse Grimm than Ruby. Or else ren and Nora would be ran over. Also, "can't devise plans"? Really? How about episode 1 of Vol.4 Which is literally Jaune hatching up a plan and strategy. ALSO ALSO, Jaune was never explicitly shown or said to have PTSD ever. He has remorse and sadness, sure. But not PTSD. PTSD is what Yang had.

... are you serious? You have yet to give ONE piece of evidence that Jaune even has PTSD. and why would he need a complex plan for the gigant? The Ruby+Nora combo easily wrecked that thing. Nobody in Vol.1 could've solo'd or double teamed the scorpion and easily win like that. Also Jaune didn't even have his weapons against the gigant, running in a circle was all he can do. Stop nitpicking your evidence as it's stated MULTIPLE times they've both gotten stronger and matured as people. And what does team strategy matter in this? This is solo Jaune, a Jaune that's MUCH more experienced, MUCH stronger and also has MUCH more lethal weapons (with Pyyrha's metal serving as enhancements).
