A general question regarding feats that include both superpowerful and comparatively much weaker characters

I'm not sure if this has ever been asked before but I have been curious for a little while regarding this.

So, for characters like M.O.D.O.K. from Marvel Comics (https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/M.O.D.O.K.) and his clone and successor M.O.D.O.K. Superior (https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/M.O.D.O.K._Superior), with the former's Planet Level energy projection having a feat of defeating The Thing, Captain America and The Falcon with a single energy blast while the latter's energy projection has feats like scaling to his predecessor, defeating Spider-Man, overpowering Wolverine and easily tearing through a host of Venom, how does one handle these kinds of feats that involve both superstrong characters (such as the Planet Level Thing) and comparatively significantly weaker characters (like the Large Building Level Venom and Spider-Man as well as Small Building Level Captain America) without just labelling it an outlier, assigning a varies rating or calling it a contradiction due to the very conflicting power levels of the characters involved? Is it on a case-by-case basis, therefore some feats that involve four Small Building Level and two Planet Level characters, such as a different Planet Level character having a feat of one-shotting and defeating all of them without the Small Building Level characters being obliterated despite this character not having a varies rating, can be utilised while others cannot?
