A dilemma involving scaling...

Me again, & I have a question involving cross-scaling. I'm currently working on another verse besides Wonderful World, and that's SILVER! (Verse). It has two source forms: a Fighting Game, and a suprising decent (Albeit untranslated) webcomic that's ever evolving. Here's the question: one of the characters is in both media forms (Kiri Sylph), and has potential feats in both formats. Do both Kiri Sylph variants scale to each other & vice versa? I know fighting games can sometimes scale from characters, but this is a special case, involving two canon media in the same verse. I'm guessing no, but we'll see what happens...

Answer away, please.

If both are canon it still depends on if both interact with each other. It is amongst others possible that a character appears in two canon stories, but the two versions not actually being related. (essentially being two versions from different timelines)

If that isn't the case, and there is no reason why the character would have depowered, the version from the canon that plays later in the timeline of the verse would scale to that which plays earlier in the timeline, but not vise verse. If they play at the same time they of course scale directly to each other.

So different media, but same timeline isn't a problem for scaling. To Aru Majutsu no Index for example has a canon over 4 different media and it can all be used together, since it all happens in the same canon and timeline.

If this helps. When it comes to Sengoku Basara (A series with canon animes and games) I just made two separate keys. One for the game stats and one for anime stats. So maybe different keys help?

I forgot intially how the two are connected, but after google translating one part in particular: the Webcomic actually takes place one year after the final part of the Story Mode of the game. (The Chat in Sylph Residence as I call it.) There wasn't any legitamite death in the game, but as a SPOILER: The eldist Sylph sibling Ryo was killed in episode one of the webcomics. He was an Iaido Practictioner, but in that moment, he was pretty much unarmed. >_<|||

So there you go, guys; a one year timeskip. So far, out of the game's characters, only Kiri, now 14 has been confirmed to tell the tale. The rest of the Sylph Sisters are MIA (Rather, not in the Webcomics yet.)...

I'll update the verse page from here. You may update me if it's legit or not if you wish...

If both sources are part of the same canon, you should be able to scale from both as well.

No problem. I will close this thead then.
