A case for a verse pages restoration

Reee no we don't "restore" the pages, they're bad and needs to be re-made from scratch.

@Velox I assume it's Granberia

@Ant Ye, I will

I think the thread can be closed then since the OP look accepted and the proposed guidelines will be followed.

You commented in the wrong place Oven and now your secret plan to demote Prom has been revealed

Is that racism, Sir.

Well I'll probably fix it when I remake it. I'll start removing the profiles for preparting of the remaking if y'all don't mind.

Wait, just in case, if a verse is like MGQ and someone want the verse to be accepted should there be another thread like this one for approval or is it enough to follow the standards set up by profiles like other accepted verses like MGQ?

I doubt there would be a need for it. We never needed such a thread for Berserk, or DxD, or any other verse with mature themes before. I think MGQ was singled out because the series is literally hentai with a plot. A plot that puts people at 2-A.

@Elizhaa

As long as the verse has a coherent story, is not only about sex, and the pages are kept clean, it should probably be fine.

Btw: Do we need to update any of our current rules?

Noted, @Antvasima. I think yes should be updated to prevent misunderstanding. I saw this Editing Rules which should be the target:

  • Preferably avoid adding character profiles that may be inappropriate or perceived to be in poor taste. This may include characters, weapons, etcetera, that are ill-suited for a statistics-indexing wiki, due to having no reliable feats, or ones from media which may be too controversial or otherwise unnecessary to be featured. This includes pages that would strictly be written as a joke, and as such more suitably belong in the Joke Battles wiki.
I think the new rule can be:

  • Preferably avoid adding character profiles that may be inappropriate or perceived to be in poor taste. This may include characters, weapons, etcetera, that are ill-suited for a statistics-indexing wiki, due to having no reliable feats, or ones from media which may be too controversial or otherwise unnecessary to be featured. This includes pages that would strictly be written as a joke, and as such more suitably belong in the Joke Battles wiki. While mature verses pages like Berserk and Demonbane are allowed, the mature verse must have a verse has a coherent story, must not only be about sexual theme like nudity, the pages have to be kept clean, and erotic content is is not allowed.
Inputs are welcome.

Thank you. I cleaned up the language structure a bit:

"Preferably avoid adding character profiles that may be inappropriate or perceived to be in poor taste. Although pages for mature verses like Berserk and Demonbane are allowed, they must have coherent stories that are not strictly focused on sex, and the pages have to be kept clean, without erotic content."

Perhaps the part about pages being kept clean and without erotic content can be reworded. Profiles like Porno Diane and Kiara Sessyoi exist. The latter of which has a description of how she shoves the planet inbetween her legs like a sex toy.

Not that I'm saying Kiara shouldn't exist, but the context of Fate dictates that such a description can't really be avoided.

Gald to help, @Antvasima.

@Sir Ovens, what others suggestions you think should be works?

I mean, as long as we avoid making profiles for characters whose only attack moves consist in s3x moves, I guess it's fine.

I mean, the only profiles for this verse I can see been made right now are Luka, Alice, Ilias, the Elemental Spirits, the 4 Heavenly Knights, etcetera.

Not something like the Leench Girl or others

I don't think explict content can 100% be avoided all the time, but maybe page disclaimers like what we do for Thunder McQuee can at least cover our ass from people trying to exploit the wiki. So, what I'm thinking would be individual page disclaimers saying that the content following said disclaimer is not for <Insert demographic we want to not piss off>. At least for the explicitly 18+ verses.

I'm working on the first profile as we speak, so we can see how to word such warning on the pages.

@DMB You say that, but Paradox gives normal attacks to nigh-everyone. Although there are still specific monsters I'd rather avoid.

How about this instead then?

"Preferably avoid adding character profiles that may be inappropriate or perceived to be in poor taste. Okay. Thanks. Is there anything left to do here, or should we close this thread?
