A Calculation Revision for Godzilla (Monsterverse)

Like I said, it could have travelled a considerable distance past them. It must have also been a pretty small impact if the asteroid couldn't even blot out the sky and create a crater where they were standing. The asteroid itself looks to be around 100 meters across at most? It's a pebble compared to an actual mass extinction causing asteroid like the 11-81 kilometer Chicxulub asteroid.
 
I do agree that the asteroid looks to be around 100 metres across but it seems like it was a direct impact.
