The thing is that his range is quite lower compared to Sukuna's, so especially given the distance at the start of the match, Sukuna has plenty of room to notice the stat gap.

if he sees buzz just kinda truck through one i'm not sure he would immedietely resort to WCS from a distance instead of just pivoting to close range like he does here

Like you wouldn't think it would take 2 domain expansions and an inverted spear of heaven to the chest in addition to however many hits itadori got on sukuna before sukuna decides to lock in

Seeing like he did so with Ryu to gauge his strength

and the same to Kusakabe who isn't even a threat

Then i think he will just use WCS after he sees that Buzz is completely unphazed with 0 damage on him, which he spams all the time btw, even against people who are far weaker than himself

Denji has no hax that'd be usable here, so it'd be a mismatch.

Anyways, it appears that Sukuna can safely determine Buzz's stats to some degree, so I don't think that prior info will be necessary here.

You don't seem to understand how Mahoraga works. It adapts and then counters it. Spaming at long range wouldn't be effective anymore, and the only way that Sukuna could use it again was by touching Maho

Plus, Mahoraga changed his basic moveset. Before it was using RCT, but after fightning Sukuna it started to use Cursed Energy, something that Sukuna couldn't predict. He allowed to get hit because he was waiting for a weak move

There were only six interactions before Sukuna opened his Domain: Makora struck Sukuna with its sword; Sukuna cut into Makora with Dismantle; Makora deflected the next Dismantle; Makora broke Sukuna's arm sending him flying; Sukuna caught & slashed Makora who chased after him; Sukuna kicked Makora downwards.

Against buzz if he sees buzz take zero damage from dismantle he's not going to think "this guy is way stronger than me!" he's going to think "how is this guy doing this?" just like he did here
