Ok. So I've been doing some digging and.... yeah some neat stuff

So. Firstly I want all the credit to go to the guys who made the respect threads which brought the feats too my attention.

Here are the threads:

https://www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/8foci5/respect_james_bond_007_connery/

https://comicvine.gamespot.com/foru...s-bond-pierce-brosnan-respect-thread-1628304/

How this affects tiers:

- James should be 9-B physically. Coupled with the feats I'm about to show, plus his profiles Composite nature, 9-C just isn't correct.

- Red Grant and Alec Trevelyan become 9-B in their film keys

But first, here are some other feats:

(Limited) Resistance to Radiation: Survived being shot by bullets made from Uranium. He then had these in his body for months on end.

(This was extremely hard to clip and I couldn't manage it. However, if anyone wants to see if for themselves it's 36 minutes into the film Skyfall. My apologies for the unprofessionalism)

Flight: Via his own jetpack https://gfycat.com/honestdistortedarchaeocete

Empathetic Manipulation: Can seduce people with ease, and more importantly, seduced Pussy Galore who was a lesbian https://streamable.com/phsy5

9-A Little Nellie: Scales to his Vanquish. Carries missiles that are comparable to the Vanquish

Smoke Manipulation: His glasses carry smoke bombs in them https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/12/124590/4281221-fgg3e.gif

Ok now onto tiering.

Connery Bond showing 9-B physical feats (Upgrades Red Grant who matches him in every way and more supporting feats for solid 9-B Bond)

Connery Bond easily flipped a man who was known to wrestle crocodiles https://streamable.com/pri0m (Lifting strength feat and AP as said man overpowered said crocodiles with force and strength alone and Bond no sells his attack and hurts him fine)

Throws a man through a paper wall: https://gfycat.com/prestigiousparallelalaskanmalamute

One shot soliders comparable to himself: https://gfycat.com/mellowremorsefulasiantrumpetfish

So, Connery Bond has 9-B feats which:

Make Film Red Grant 9-B Makes Oddjob a straight 9-B Gives more evidence for conclusive straight 9-B Bond

Now onto Brosnan feats which aim to give more supporting evidence to the forementioned objective and upgrades film Alec Trevelya

Brosnan 9-B feats: Drives Alec into steal bars, knocking them down: https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/12/124590/4281231-fggtq.gif

Alec who is as strong as him knocks James into steal bars and survives the hit and keeps fighting: https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/12/124590/4281233-.gif

Also, this feat I'm unsure of what we would call it but James survives intense toruture from the North Koreans and doesn't crack

So clearly both Connery and Brosnan Bond have 9-B feats

In summary, these upgrades would

Solidify James as a 9-B and no longer a 9-C Scale Oddjob and Red Grant to 9-B Scale Alec to 9-B Give James some new abilities

Hope you all enjoyed. This is my first real long post, so apologies for any mistakes. Hope you all enjoy it and you enjoy your day/night

"one-shot soldiers comparable to himself"

Isn't that a contradiction though lol

You should have staff approval first, yes.

I am not sure if any of the feats qualify for 9-B. You should preferably either get them calculated or see if any of them are listed in the References for Common Feats page.

I suppose that those might qualify, yes. Is a generic wooden doors feat listed in the page that I linked to?

Paper Walls or (shoji) are made of Bambu and wood, so the Connery feat would be more baseline 9-B while the Brosnan feat would be higher according to our calcs. The Connery feat is merely supportive but the Brosnan feat is actually Wall Level+ To SBL and would actually grant a big upgrade

Plus Ant, would you happen to know what lifting strength you'd need to out wrestle an alligator would be?

Okay. 9-B seems fine then.

I don't know the required lifting strength. Sorry.

Also Ant just to clarify

Knocking those steel bars over (I didn't originally notice this till before) is Wall Level+ to Small Building Level according to our Calcs. The feat in personal makes James completely knock over the door from its bearings. What in your opinion would this fall under.

Oh and are the other abilities ok

Is that calculated in the References for Common Feats page? He didn't actually destroy the steel bars after all, he just knocked them loose.

I think that breaking walls is useful, and overpowering an alligator-wrestler might be as well.

Yeah, it looks more like low end of it because it didn't destroy the door but just damaged it which is Wall+

And lastly, is emotional manipulation and smoke manipulation ok?

Resistance to radiation seems fine.

Empathic manipulation doesn't seem like an actual superpower, but his seduction skills are definitely unrealistically portrayed.

Flight via jetpack seems fine.

Smoke manipulation via equipment seems fine.

To be fair, we give people who use toxins poison manipulation, so it doesn't have to be a superpower to my understanding.

Well, I think that it technically should be a supernatural ability beyond what real world humans are capable of on their own without equipment in order to be listed.

You can verify for yourself though: Empathic Manipulation

Yeah, it's more just highly unrealistic than a superpower. Although, in saying that, literally turning a lesbian to loving him is worth noting

Galore likely isn't lesbian though, she's a man-hating bisexual by today's standards.

The source was in the 60s, when the term was uncommon, and you don't "turn lesbian" because your uncle assaulted you, so she's gay in name only.

That being said, didn't Bond **** a random widow after her husband's funeral? That seems wayyy more Empathic Manipulation-ey than whatever the deal with Galore was.

Also, for the sake of clarity, can we change the profile title to James Bond (Composite)?

Wow. He sounds like a scumbag.

I suppose that seems fine to me.

James Bond's always been about fulfilling some power fantasy, so he has always the possibility to come off as a douchey Mary Sue self insert or awesome Chad with rad skills. It depends if you have similiar fantasies to whoever's writing him.

Ok first off, the widow (I'm assuming you mean the one in SPECTRE) wanted it. Her husband wasn't a good man and she wanted it as much as James. The old Connery movies yes but that was a different time. You can't judge a character based off interpretations from a society from decades ago. Since Craig stepped into the role, it's been far less like this.

Secondly, most of his books were written in the 40s and 50s again neither time period. It's like calling an old man racist towards the Germans or Japanese when he fought against them in a World War. Different time, different attitudes.

@Zark originally she was apparently a lesbian. If they decided to chance that since then then fair enough

@Jack Brosnan knocking over a steel bars and damaging them is a Wall+ feat

Is that really damaging them though? It looked more like he knocked them off whatever held them to the wall.
