This would change the base 4-C for high-tier Maiar to 4-B as well as result in SS level Ancalagon. https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:TheVividen/Silmarils_Are_Solar-System_Level
This is honestly a really difficult decision. Eragon is clearly better physically, and his sword helps with that, but Voldemort has much more experience using quick spells in combat and he has terrain advantage from Hogwarts. It might come down to how Voldemort over-relies on his single...
It's already been established in the Silmarillion that Maiar can survive and thrive in the vacuum of space with no difficulty. Morgoth actually recruited an army of Maiar from all across Ea before he destroyed the Lamps.
@MasterOfArda That's true about the Huan quote. I was just reading that chapter the other day and forgot about it, ha ha
@The Everlasting Are you siding with Sauron or Frieza?
I've always understood Eonwe to be more powerful than Sauron. The Valaquenta even says that "his might in arms was surpassed by none in Arda" although the Valar are obviously stronger. So Eonwe was still the strongest of the Maiar.
Speed equalized. Frieza is DBZ Third Form. Both are bloodlusted and Sauron is willing to go into spirit form.

Maybe my scenario was a little confusing. This isn't supposed to be Smaug vs HP verse, it's Smaug vs the Order of the Phoenix and the elite Death Eaters that were present at the Ministry during the end of the fifth book.
Actually Avada Kedavra can be blocked. It's been deflected by animated statues before; anything tough enough physically, it seems, just has passive magic resistance to HP spells.
Large planet is still waaay lower than *at least* Star level. And once that Silmaril calc gets through, Sauron will probably be upgraded to Solar System level with the other high-tier Maiar and anything else that scales to Carcharoth or Ancalagon.
There are far more scenarios where Harry takes this with magic than where Frodo takes it by using the Ring out of desperation. Harry's magic and versatility is out of the wazoo compared to a non-magic hobbit with a strong sword and potential invisibility; if Harry starts the battle knowing Frodo...
@MasterOfArda Yep, stalemate. That's why they sent in the Istari with their restrictions.
What language? The link sent me to your respect thread (nicely compiled, by the way) but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
@MasterOfArda And if Sauron had tried to destroy the planet the Valar would have been forced to intervene and stop him. He did not want them to get involved, especially after seeing his master getting beaten so badly by them during the War of Wrath...
Several of them actually were superhuman. Elrond, Elendil and Gil-Galad all fought Sauron at once and he killed two of them (for context, Elrond is the son of the warrior who killed Ancalagon with a Silmarl and Gil-Galad is one of the strongest elves ever to live).
Smaug flies over the Ministry of Magic as the Order of the Phoenix is fighting Voldemort's forces. He sees the wizards as tasty treats and decides to attack all of them at once. Who wins?

We just don't know enough about Arthas to really discuss this one. Instincts say Sauron, because *at least Star level* is unlikely to be beaten by Unknown, but...lack of information...
Hulk for reasons above...matching a serious Sentry is far above anything Post-Crisis Supes can deal out. Then there's Hulk's record of consistently matching Thor, whose hammer throw feat is nearly 300 times stronger than Superman's Mageddon feat, and it shouldn't be much of a fight.
