I'm not up to date with DxD but even below volume 15, Issei can already consistently use his Cardinal Crimson form without any stamina issues. Those issues are a problem only in the early series when he's nothing more than a low level devil and inexperienced with his Sacred Gear. Now after...
Well I guess you could place my vote on Gil.
On the topic of TGoALiD, as I said in my post above:
Ainz didn't use any skill at all when he's waiting for the clock to finish its rotation, even when he's surrounded by attacks and his HP is dwindling. This implies that he has to maintain the...
...that.
Which doesn't matter whatsoever because they have freaking magik (misspelled on purpoise). There are multiversal lolis out there that can f*ck with reality and we say nothing about their body characteristics.
No diversity? Those tons of different weapons that he scanned and able to...
...he fights Shirou, if he did, his arm wouldn't be sliced.
What? Even excluding Ea, multiple Mountain level attacks and various hax such as soulf*ck will overwhelmed and crush Ainz to death. Not to mention Gil has more than one weapon that can tore through magic.
Real world that still...
1) Archer wasn't planning on fighting all out against Lancer because he only need to keep him company and show him that his goal is to kill Caster, something which he reveal later to Lancer and Lancer accepts.
2) BNP degrade the rank of the weapon by 1 so a weapon which was originally rank A...
.....It's only a matter of matching them with people who can sense or damage them, which are a lot. Intangibility and invisibility are nothing new, many people in a xianxia genre can simply expand their divine sense and they'll be able to perceive spiritual beings and keep a constant watch on...
Well yeah it IS an extra ability that they have, it's even listed in their page. It classifies as intangibility. A lot of people like Danny Phantom, Alucard and Santa Sasaki has it but that doesn't mean they're invincible. Hell, even characters in FT has it.
And Archer wouldn't fight like that...
Anything that's incorporeal/spiritual can harm him in that state and it's not like it's a total gamebreaker either since he can't harm anyone physically while in the spirit form so needs to materialize if he wants to attack.
Also, that Small Island Excalibur was only the leftover energy IIRC, 90% of it was tanked by Bellerophon.
Another thing to note here is Saber's armor. She can afford to take hits as long as she directed the attacks to it, which is something that she often do (her battle with Diarmuid, Assassin...
You mean Grasp Heart? It doesn't bring anything new to the table though, my main point about it is that it needed to be targetted, not instantaneous nor unavoidable and has a range. Gil is aware of those with SNI.
Which is why pretty much everyone says that Ainz would most likely win. So far many of Merlin's spells aren't geared toward combat, probably because her focus is more on experimenting (even when facing Grayroad's attack, she's willing to let it hit her to analyze it if not for Howzer).
1) Their state of mind by default is in character but willing to kill (serious and will employ their usual battle strategies). In which case, Ainz will treat this similar to his pvp days and much more serious of course. If they don't know what each other can do then isn't it more likely that...
How would they deal against Dividing Wyvern Fairy that could divide and reflect attacks? Issei himself is 'at least' Island level and is likely much more powerful (is comparable to Sirzech who's far superior than Serafall who's allegedly stated to be able to destroy japan several times over)...
^few things against your points above:
1) Prep is nowhere near useless since even without any info Ainz is capable of deploying invisible trap mines in both land and air, preparing a spell to negate teleportation and manipulation of data about himself.
2) Ainz to me seems to be a strong attack...
Problem is TGoALiD isn't Ainz's go to spell. He's not gonna use it immediately with only knowledge that Gil has a treasury of very powerful weapons (read OP), on the contrary that would more than likely impede him from doing so as he would think that Gil has something akin to a resurrection...
Because it's based on probablity (see my previous post above). Also, problem with that is, that's only in Yggdrasil. In Nasuverse, a high rank luck has the ability to alter causality itself so why should we only factor mechanics from Yggdrasil? Also, if Magic Resistance actually play a part then...
Negative Burst was only shown to kill low level angel troops that are probably not even multi-block level (should be lower than Ainz's personally created Lich). Pretty unlikely that it could repel powerful weapons like Merodach or Caladbolg. Not to mention there are weapons that can passes...
Ah sorry, my memory was a bit blurry, it's not an actual space freezing but a sword of ice that freezes the space which it passes through so even when the enemy dodged it, they're still covered in ice.
Grasp Heart is the only spell stated to stun someone when it's resisted. And even then, Ainz would have to deal with Gil's barrage of GoB before using another skill to attack.
Magic resistance shouldn't do anything against instant death but luck sure would. As I see it, if the instant death spell has a chance of, say, 50% against the opponent, with luck it should be able to decrease that chance depending on how high one's luck is. Considering Gil has A-rank luck...
The only thing I can remember that's similar to that is from Mother's Rosario arc. Kirito and Klein hold off an entire guild from raiding a floor boss for about 3 minutes I think. Though I forgot whether they managed to beat them all or not.
Either that or some scene from Alicization arc that I...
I see, and no, I don't even care about the votes. My main interest is to debate. I was only curious about whether or not you have any other arguments. Since you have none then that's it for this thread I guess.
Stun is when one's in a daze or semiconscious state.
Paralyze is when one becomes incapable of movement but still conscious.
Haru is still conscious when he got hit with Melforce.
"Might"? What are you still uncertain about? Although Escanor has served as holy knight for years, he presents no...
And because we're not sure, we can't make any assumptions like you did, especially when it suggests otherwise. What's certain is that Merlin uses Gowther instead of using Absolute Cancel on Escanor herself, even though she's fully capable (and is already) sneaking up behind him via...
Exactly, it's not known and Merlin using Gowther instead of doing it herself suggests that she's unable to.
Merlin stated it herself that her Absolute Cancel couldn't completely erased Gowther's curse, which is why she made the armor.
Because the difference in their profession matters a lot...
Scans of Absolute Cancel deactivating Sunshine? Because if she can why not she just deavtivate him herself and needs Gowther to put him unconscious? Absolute Cancel erases magic, it can't seal it. And it's also much weaker than Runesave since it was unable to completely erase the one placed in...
You're seriously reaching here. Thinking that because he can use something similar to Merlin's spell suddenly thinks of another thing that's completely irrelevant (Gowther's sealing armor) and reaching the conclusion that it has the same ability. Merlin is a magician while Haru is a swordsman...
Uh huh, and which holy knights with 'similar power' to Haru that would enable him to guess it? Because no one in NnT has a sealing sword. And let me ask again, why would Escanor even connect something as random as 'sealing' as one of Haru's powers, as opposed to other numerous possible options...
You're grasping at straws here. How will Escanor even knows that Haru has sealing ability? By guessing? He didn't 'figure out' Gowther's ability when fighting him, it's because he already know about it (hell, he got disabled with Gowther's blackout and it probably occured more than once). He...
And the possibilities of Escanor getting sealed is simply much higher due to the reasons that have been stated aka Escanor's magical attacks are useless and he needs to go melee in which he will fall prey to Runesave, not to mention Escanor would most likely face Runesave head on rather than...
Ok, so what my main point in the first place is that Haru has means to render Escanor's magical attacks useless while the same can't be said to Escanor. It doesn't help that Escanor prefers to directly meets his opponent's attacks rather than dodging (the only time Escanor ever dodge was an...
He said that because he was addressing Estarossa's words that he can't touch him with his physical attacks, not showing off at all. Seriously, if this is considered holding back, then Haru is more so considering his typical shounen bullshit behaviour that doesn't wish to kill his enemies...
Yes and we don't know who has more energy between them. Haru is powered by Rave while Escanor is powered by Sunshine. The only thing we know is that both are Island level.
Huh? How do you even know that? There was no indication that Escanor was showing off, he was angry at the time and it makes...
Size and muscle means little in fiction. Zeno Zoldyck is stronger than the obviously more muscular Silva. Ragna Bloodedge and Arcueid Brunestud are also as skinny as Haru (or even skinnier) but either of them can beat both Haru and Escanor alone. And don't even get me started on those lolis who...
2) Wasn't referring to Haru, it was more about Lucia.
3) But Escanor has to choose whether he wanna use his normal attack or magic. Cruel Sun is obviously much stronger and that's what Haru gotta watch out for instead of his normal attack that even Estarossa tanked. If Escanor used Cruel Sun...
2) Lucia actually much more powerful than Haru. They win because of PIS, Lucia has Endless (who's another planet buster with Overdrive) and his Mother Dark Brings (MDB), but he couldn't use them because they're charging Overdrive. MDB has plenty of broken abilities that you can see in his...
1) Wait, what? Haru didn't die in the final battle, he was about to but Star Vestiges protected him. And he was only in danger because he was about to get hit with Etherion aka a planet busting magic. Escanor too would've perish if he got hit with one.
2) They're both tier 6-C. Lucia is much...
