Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

The opening sequence of Dread states this, and Nintendo has stated this as well.
  2. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

We use that for Raven Beak's scaling, since he was able to rip off the first E.M.M.I.'s arm, whereas a nearly fully-powered Gravity Suit Dread Samus can't do anything to it.
  3. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

She probably could, but it would only be a temporary amp since she doesn't keep it after the end of SM à la the SA-X not using the Hyper Beam, instead just using all of the other beams (minus Charge).
  4. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

That certainly is possible; Adam does state before the Neo Ridley fight that the SA-X would destroy Samus if she stayed too long, and considering the only thing she was missing was the Screw Attack, Samus at her peak and the SA-X being equal in strength isn't unlikely.
  5. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

The SA-X was already heavily weakened by the fight prior with Gravity Samus, so it getting turned back into a toothpaste splatter in one hit by the Omega Metroid makes total sense imo. Not to mention, if the Omega Metroid can bring Samus down to 1 energy in a single hit, even from full health...
  6. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

It's more like: Omega Suit Fusion Samus >= Fusion Omega Metroid >>> Gravity Fusion Samus > SA-X = Peak SM (Legendary) Samus Because Gravity Fusion Samus and the SA-X are certainly close, but Gravity Fusion Samus was still able to beat the SA-X.
  7. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

We already assume that Fusion's Omega Metroid is much more powerful than usual, whatever reason its unusual strength may be. Plus, we don't know if Samus was stronger at her peak in SM than she was at her peak in Returns. We just go with what we're given, and what we're given is. . .well, that...
  8. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

This is somewhat contradictory when we consider that, despite the SA-X assuming the form of Samus with the Varia Suit, Samus in Fusion states that the SA-X is her with her strongest abilities, and Dread's opening parrots this by stating that the SA-X was herself but at full strength. Adam also...
  9. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Hence my hesitance. Though, like I said, it could just be a very specific stat amp that occurs only when using the Speed Booster or Shinespark. The thing is though, if we put in Striking Strength, we'd most likely have to put it in AP as well. SS does not scale from AP, but AP scales from SS...

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

I mean, it doesn't really need to be a weapon in the first place? The fact that it's mainly used for traversal - and thus its side-effect of BTFOing enemies that come into contact with it or the Shinespark - just means that it has unconventional use as a damage dealer. Hell, the Grapple Beam...
  11. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Fair enough I suppose, though I feel like the Plasma Beam having that "honor" is attributed to it simply being powerful as fuсk. Like in Super, the combination of Ice + Spazer + Wave does 100 damage, whilst Plasma on its own does 150. That said, Chariot does make a good point that it's more...
  12. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

It's weird though, because (generally speaking), you get the Speed Booster before Super Missiles. In Fusion, you get Speed Booster by defeating Serris-X, and then the next upgrade after that is Super Missiles. In Dread, you get the Speed Booster from the SB EMMI, followed by the Grapple Beam...
  13. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Random question, but would this account for stuff like the Speed Booster and Shinespark as well? Because in the games, the Speed Booster and Shinespark are capable of instantly killing enemies that take even a few Super Missiles to destroy, though I'm not sure if we'd chalk that up to game...
  14. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Unironically, it probably could. I know in-game stats aren't exactly the best way to scale things, but the normal Missile does 10 damage, whilst a Super Missile does 30. Literally a 3x damage increase, just as Adam says.

Metroid - Debunking Zebes' 960x Gravity

Yeah, this makes sense to me I know this is somewhat derailing but in terms of replacement feats, I'm not sure about earlier games in the series, but one that comes to mind is the Grapple Beam blocks that Samus pulls on in Dread. I think that's worth calcing, imo
  16. thetechmaster36

How fast would "sublight speed" be?

For context, I'm referring to this statement: "Transform your boomerang into a bow, and pull it taut while compressing energy, then release a massive blast from above at sublight speed." There is no exact numerical value given, so what would the lowest speed be for a statement of something...

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Oh my god dude, I wish Oatsngoats and Andy did a SM + LTTP randomizer again, that would be incredible
  18. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Honestly, I like going through Dread randomizers more than I do Super randomizers; you're always experiencing something new each time with Dread randos in my experience Super randomizers are fairly fun as well, no doubt about that, but there's something about Dread that takes the cake for me...
  19. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Dread = Super (both are equally incredible, imo) > Prime 1 > Fusion > Prime 2 > Zero Mission > Prime 3 > Samus Returns > Metroid II = NEStroid

Hyperdimension Neptunia General Discussion #33 - Neptune VS Titan Dogoo

Chat, how are we feeling about these banners for the revisions? 👀

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

they did say it's planned to release in 2025, but they never said that it was the true release date, so we're waiting another 5 years bABYYYYYYYYYYY
  22. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

See, the thing is, they don't appear to be Metroid Metroids. They look more like Mochtroids. Notice these only have a single nucleus, rather than the four we normally see on Metroids.
  23. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

The thing is though, Super taking place in 20X7 and Prime 4 taking place in 20X9 doesn't 100% mean that Prime 4 is happening after Super. The X is in that third position after all, not the fourth or second; for all we know, Super could be taking place 8 years after Prime 4 for whatever reason...
  24. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

Yeah, that's my thoughts as well, it HAS to be after Federation Force considering that Sylux has Metroids or Metroid-like creatures with him, and the little hint at the end of Federation Force suggests he stole the hatched Metroid. My gut tells me that this seems to come before Metroid II, but...
  25. thetechmaster36

Metroid V: To Infinity and Beyond

I genuinely hope that this game is cross-gen; an unspecified 2025 release date in tandem with the Switch successor most likely coming out Spring next year makes me hopeful that this game is cross-gen like how BOTW was. I'm also curious to see where this fits in the timeline, whether it's going...

We move, boys. This will obviously take quite a while since the uploader is still going through the game, but it's better than nothing. Give me feedback if you want.

Dragon Ball Vegito resistance addition, or whatever

I'm fine with Resistance to Power Absorption, just not regular Absorption, since Vegito was absorbed, just not trapped.
  30. thetechmaster36

Dragon Ball Vegito resistance addition, or whatever

This is a fairly wonky resistance to Absorption. He very clearly did get absorbed by Buu, because otherwise Vegito wouldn't be inside of Buu. However, he did not get suspended in a pod, unlike the others who were absorbed by Buu. So it seems more likely that the barrier was preventing Buu from...

Hyperdimension Neptunia General Discussion #33 - Neptune VS Titan Dogoo

I love having to wait a billion years for someone to upload a playthrough of the game in Japanese voices because I don't want to listen to the (in my opinion) mediocre performances from the English dub.

Metroid Prime 2: Light of Aether downgrade

Hyperdimension Neptunia General Discussion #33 - Neptune VS Titan Dogoo

I've just finished the game. Damn, that was actually pretty fun. Gameplay-wise, it's a pretty big improvement from Sisters. Combat feels better, the bike is an awesome addition for faster dungeon travel, and the little minigames (the races and time attacks) are fun distractions that don't...

Hyperdimension Neptunia General Discussion #33 - Neptune VS Titan Dogoo

Hell yeah, brother. Genuinely excited to play this game in English; I had a fun time in the Japanese version, and even though I couldn't understand pretty much anything being said, the voice acting was superb and makes me even more curious what they're actually saying.
