It would be nice to get a bit more input. Especially since using promotional material as evidence can be controversial sometimes.
But if no one offers any further input, we should eventually update the profile anyway. I've seen profiles be changed using far more questionable evidence, so it...
Also, just wanted to point out that Scott's false recollection of Simon Lee in the mainline comics specifically includes the false memory of Scott kicking Simon away, whereas the scan provided mentions punching instead. So it very much seems the false events concerning Simon and the events...
Hmm, yeah I did some research just now and it all checks out.
I'm definitely open to the idea, as there's no direct indication that the person in question is Simon Lee (otherwise Stephen wouldn't have witnessed it).
However, I must admit I feel very awkward about using a promotional advert as...
If anyone wants to get on with calculating Todd's moon feat in the anime I have provided a bunch of screenshots of the moon here:
Just a heads up, the first one is stated to be a dramatic re-enactment of the feat in the interview scene its from, so I would avoid using that one for the calc in...
I think its quite cut and dry that the feat (within the comic continuity) was a fabricated memory.
In Volume 6 they specifically show a panel of what actually happened during the Simon Lee "fight" and it visually shows how Simon was just a shy wimpy guy who got decked in the face (like Kim...
By the way, if anyone wants to calc Todd's moon-punching feat. I've saved a few scans from the anime that someone could use to calc it. But I can't remember how to share them on this site.
The shot of Todd after doing it gets us the best view of the moon, but the documentary episode does...
I think the comics in comparison make the difference far more obvious. With Lucas mocking Matthew's power in comparison to the rest of the league, or when Roxie mentions the twins are more powerful than her upon dying. The only ones that seem like obvious exceptions are Todd when using his vegan...
Yes, Matthew, Lucas and Todd are all treated as equals when fighting Even Older Scott. It's like we're seeing EO Scott fighting 3 equally-powerful fighters at the same time.
That seems like something the story mentions just so it can subvert it later as a shock to the audience when we clearly see that Matthew can stand up to (and defeat) Gideon.
Even if we take that statement at face value, there's still some in-story explanations for why the statement is...
I might have to re-check the scene but it seemed to me that Even Older Scott could easily defeat Todd Ingram (and unlike previous versions, this Todd had no reason for holding back in the fight).
Seeing as Todd still has his moon-punching feat in the anime, and seeing as Even Older Scott scales...
BTW, @AParticularInduvidial I’ll probably be very busy these next few months to properly talk about it. But I just wanted to extend a hand. I’m the guy who created the Scott Pilgrim Verse page and most of the character profiles, calcs etc. back when this series only had one unfinished profile...
I might make a big post about JoJo soon and certain profiles/content that I think might need revision. But before that I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions just to avoid making incorrect presumptions about how the series is being handled atm.
1. Are we accepting anime feats now or...
The profile for the Truth of the Universe in Earthbound now uses a manga as evidence for its tier. I don't remember any of the manga adaptations ever being considered canon? When did this happen?
Ok, so I went over everything and I can agree with a few things.
Bruno's durability scaling to Secco makes sense but not with King Crimson. I would also argue it scales to Gold Experience given their fight and Bruno's statements that Giorno was fighting seriously and aiming to kill (and Giorno...
I don't remember them being by the doorway but even if true all of them were still visibly hurt and blown back by it but ultimately survived, so scaling could apply as they'd have to have similar durabilty to react similarly.
Perhaps you're right about the speed, but in that panel Bruno seems to be looking at the stand as it attacks him and Mista (who'd be the most capable of reaction to the attack first) seems to have been the first one hit . Otherwise there's no examples of Aerosmith scaling unless you want to...
I adressed that. They were distracted and looking in the opposite direction but keep in mind Clash was moving back and forth multiple times and blitzing them sepperately before they even reacted. Even if they were distracted, Clash wouldn't have been able to attack them all individually without...
The times Aerosmith shoots Clash might not really count for scaling their speed, as it was either some kind of suprise attack or Narancia was guessing where Clash was "warping" to next so he could predict where to shoot. But in the example with the propellers, Clash was aware Aerosmith was right...
Yeah, I'm ok with those changes. Sorta...
Joseph's Ultimate Ripple attack is presented as its own thing, sepperate from Joseph's usual level of power, but that could mean base Kars scales to it (he survived a few moments after getting hit, and while he was about to die this was because he was...
I'm also somewhat conflicted on the King Crimson example. On the one hand, KC's attacks did go through Bruno like butter, but on the other, there's only so much you can atttribute to "force of will" or "stamina" before you have to admit Burno's body must be pretty damn durable for him to move...
That might be... ok. It's just that if this scales to Part 3 Joseph (which I wouldn't personally say so since he's clearly past his prime), it might effect almost every JoJo profile.
I thought so too, but even so how would that effect the profiles? It's a pretty big deal to imply that Hamon characters can become 3 times stronger than usual just by using more Hamon. And is it even safe to say the much older and far less hamon-skilled Joseph from part 3 could scale to that...
I've noticed a few examples in the Manga that would upgrade some Part 5 characters.
In terms of human (non-Stand) durability, the protagonists of Part 5 currently have either Wall level (Bruno, Abbachio, Mista, Narancia, Fugo) or Street level (Giorno, Trish) durability.
However, we see...
Priority: 1 (scales to most fights post-Volume 3)
Verse: Scott Pilgrim
Feat: Scott survives having Honest Ed's implode around him.
Note: Honest Ed's is a real locatio (though it was demolished not too long ago) so you can use its real dimensions.
Note: This feat gets mentioned in some...
