Looks like reactive evolution to me. Imposter Syndrone is starting to get good now.
Hey Elixir, could you remove this"Equal to Shadow, who had given Emerlthe seventh and final Chaos Emerald he needed and fought him afterwards."from game Sonic? It was agreed in this thread. JED did add what i suggested but forgot to remove the old part.
I had been thinking about it, and wanted to ask (Can't access Discord at the moment), but wouldn't the Metal Virus have transmutation resistance negation or something since it evolved to bypass said resistance Sonic had?
Sonic's resistance comes from running off the Metal Virus, not that the Metal Virus is bypassing his resistance to effect him. The Reactive Evolution is the Metal Virus overcoming Sonic burning it off.
But Sonic wasn't just "burning it off", it was stated he had unique biometrics that allowed him to fight it off. Not to mention, from the way Gemerl worded it, it seemed as though Sonic's speed had the unique property to stop the Metal Virus
Which kind of fits the "biometrics" thing since Biometrics is defined as "the measurement and statistical analysis of people's unique physical and behavioral characteristics."
The virus seemed to adapt to the unique biometrics Sonic had that would allow him to slow down and undo the Metal Virus. Heck, Tails from what I recall tried to use Sonic's biometrics to create a cure, I would think the implication would be that it overcame Sonic's resistance. I don't think his resistance solely comes from just being able to burn it off by running, we seems to be the case given that Sonic couldn't run with infected people to burn off their virus, nor could they do so.
Sonic was burning the virus off with his speed. The Metal Virus does consume Sonic's "biometrics" at the same rate like any other individual when he isn't using his speed. Also, Tails' scan works better for your point than Gemerl's.
Sonic's biometrics in context allows hims to actively attempt to kill the Virus, not passively defend against it.
That's the thing, he has a resistance to it because him running somehow slows it down. It seems to be more than just "burning it off", his speed had unique properties to it that Tails wanted to use for a cure. If his biometrics were compromised and adapted against, that would mean said hypothetical cure (which would provide passive immunization to the virus) would've also been negated in the same sense. At least If I'm remember everything correctly anyway.
I get that line of thinking but Sonic's speed wasn't "him running somehow slows it down", he was reversing it. Sonic slowing it down means it remained even after Sonic ran, which it wasn't, cause as Tails explained, he was burning it off.
