Yuji's not thaaaaaaat inferior to Gojo at that point, so that's not entirely true

Hindsight is 20/20
Avoiding burnout isn't the same as making yourself immune to technique nullification.
Jacob's Ladder doesn't need to target the sorcerer to neutralize a cursed technique, it only needs to target the cursed technique. Targeting the back of the Prison Realm opened the front. Angel didn't have to target Kenjaku to neutralize the Culling Game's barriers.

Is Jacob's ladder itself necessary? We see Hana disabling Nue without using the ladder, just with a "nullifying aura" around her, She was distant from Sukuna and still managed to affect him with it. This should be enough to completely disable Kejaku. The ladder should be the lapse of the technique, focused on inflicting damage as well.

this is an untamed scenario, and they are still outdated as they don't reflect his ability to increase mid battle
Jeez, we just talked about the Jacob's ladder thing and you guys are still so confident that a shitty spell that has failed when used at 100% maximum power is definitely going to succeed this time around.

Technique Nullification has failed zero times though. The only somewhat poor showcase was Hana's Jacob's Ladder after losing her arm. Even that still neutralized Sukuna's curse techniques though, it was just taking a while to destroy the cursed object inside Megumi.
Failed in 251 when he hit Sukuna with a maximum Jacob's ladder and he immediately cut Yuta in half with dismantle, a curse technique. The ability is complete shit.
