the feats where he is able to legitimately fight Shanks or Wb (or any one else on that caliber) on equal footing. Instead he did that, barely, with a weakened Wb and was completely halted by Shanks easily
The only way would be that he unexpectedly grew way stronger than everyone else in between the timeskip
Otherwise he doesn't have any feats... Especially Pre Timeskip. Garp would've destroyed him.

It's undeniable that Akainu is above like, a good 90% of the people we currently rate as tier 5, and the temps he puts out punch above his weight class quite a bit. I just don't think he's in the top 5.

There is definitely a difference between liking someone as a villain and liking someone as a person. Garrosh Hellscream is my favorite character period, but he is also literally Warcraft Hitler at his worst. Hell, even at his best Garrosh is like, Lawful Neutral in morality lmfao, he's very Horde and honor first in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm.Yes, of course, but he is definitely a villain, not somebody to admire.
Think of Garrosh at his best as a wartime leader. Yeah he's very aggressive and hot-headed, but the guy wants the best for his people and to remain honorable doing it. If maintaining honor means dropping someone who just bombed a city of innocents to his death, he will.
