So what do you all think is the reason for Chopper being able to purify the giants from Imu's corruption and control much more easily than others? Because he is such a genuinely pure and nice person, or something else?

Hmm. If Chopper gives all of the Minks rumble balls during the final war, disrupting Imu's control would be really useful, even beyond activating their Sulong states whenever they want.

I saw a comment on reddit saying that Chopper quite literally slapped the humanity back into the giant, which could imply that either Chopper used some unknown ability of Zoans (which could be insane, imagine if Zoans could have a Scary Monsters (JJBA) type of effect), or maybe he has a unique human fruit model (who knows maybe he's the Human-Human: Doctor/Panacea since we do have models that go into specific professions/roles like how Onimaru turns into a Big Monk/Onyudo Human).
Usopp's moment is awesome but I do find it kind of funny how he's still the actual last straw hat to have a powerup/big moment in Elbaph. We do see he did hurt Gunko/Imu though even if they just regenerated so Go D. Usopp upscale > : )

The people on Drum Island claim there's a mushroom that can "cure any illness", and Chopper's fruit looks like a mushroom, plus the comment Oda made about it in a sbs (granted it was worded as a joke), I think it's definitely something to do with his fruit here. Maybe it can make certain people more human if that makes sense? Or it can cleanse their soul? Idk.

Didn't Usopp's speech here mirror something he said regarding the villains using underhanded methods when he first met Brogy and Dorry in Little Garden in the live-action One Piece series, which Oda is very actively involved with as an executive producer, or do I misremember?

This is a pretty good chapter. I wonder what happened to the books in the Owl Library? As well as Biblo's whereabouts. It's also pretty interesting that Imu seems to be on his way to Elbaph with his real body. Maybe he'll bring Shamrock with him?

Im still clinging to Usopp vs Killingham happening imo
Though this might not happen if no more HKs are brought to Elbaf since I can't see Sanji vs Sommers and Usopp vs Killingham being the only real fights the Straw Hats get in this arc (besides Luffy and Loki vs Imu).
If it DOES happen, though, I hope he can finish him with a technique similar similar the Sinning Tree from Yu Yu Hakusho. Would be a great way to stop someone with regen as well as properly torment someone as evil as Killingham while still being something that you can see Usopp doing (since he never really wins with brute force or Haki).
On another note, I really thought Brook's music and Nika hax would've been the reason Imu had to leave her body and fight in his own body, but I guess this is fine too.

I don’t know if that’s possible without finding a way to void the contract between Imu & Gunko. Not even Shanks could break his Shallow contract with sacrificing his arm. It’s interesting how Imu has four different types of contracts, but only 3 are voluntary.Hopefully Chopper and Brook can collaborate to exorcise Imu from her.
Also, it’s crazy how Oda always has subtle references that fly over my head. Imu's contracts resemble IRL alchemy symbols. The Shallow Sea contract is close to an alchemy symbol for the World/globe. The Deep Sea contract seems to combine the World motif with a symbol representing Neptune who was the Roman sea god.

Still waiting on more details from 1179, but this theory might be even more feasible now considering that
Imu's description sounds very similar to a Lunarian. If it’s not a result of his powers, then it’s kinda funny. Celestial Dragons speedrunning racial self hatred is hilarious. It’s also not out of character considering they also look down on regular humans too.
