Super Multi-Continent Bros? (Mario Bros High 6-A proposal)

No, I haven't! I won't stop until I've personally downgraded "Super" Mario to Athlete Level where he belongs! And once I'm done with that, I'll burn down the local orphanage and start kicking puppies just to prove how cruel and nefarious I am!

“I won’t toy with you anymore” means he was toying with him prior to making that declaration, so scaling to the Star Rod’s full power is kinda iffy.

Does Mario and everyone else scale to this?​

Yes, they should, and here's why...

At the beginning of the game, Mario without any amp withstood hits from Paper Bowser who was amped by Star Rod. Mario was only gravely injured by the attacks, and he still recovered thanks to the Star Spirits healing him, and seeing as how Kammy Koopa stated Mario was "back on his feet after taking such a beating from Bowser", it would further imply that Mario DID in fact survive these attacks. Plus, even in the final battle, without the Star Rod, Bowser can damage Mario who was amped by the Star Spirits and Mario was able to defeat the Goomba King who was "made a king" by the Star Rod, implying he could beat Star Rod amped beings without Star Spirits.
Would you be fine with a "possibly High 6-A"?

1. Mario being casually blasted away and gravely injured by an attack means he doesn't scale to it. Like, that is the exact definition of not scaling to an attack.
2. This is the exact same circular scaling we've dealt with before, where Mario scales to an amped version of a character, which would in turn cause the base form of the amped character to scale to their amped state, which makes no sense. If base Mario = Star Rod Bowser, then and base Bowser = base Mario, then base Bowser = Star Rod Bowser, which is an absurd claim and defeats the entire purpose of him getting the Star Rod in the first place.

Upon further inspection, I disagree. Mario being harmed by the Star Rod only happens after he was empowered by the Star Spirits with the Mushroom Kingdom's wishes. At the very least, Mario should get a High 6-A key for that and his base self shouldn't scale.
I mean, DOES ANYONE here at the very least agree with this proposal?

Is this really your reason for not supporting this idea? I mean, what's wrong with giving Paper Mario a High 6-A key for being empowered by the Star Spirits? Why not give Paper Bowser a Star Rod key as well?

I was being sarcastic. I think it works.
 
I disagree with having the base versions scale. Being "gravely injured" outright proves Mario doesn't scale. Especially when Bowser was shown to be undefeatable during their initial encounter.

Though I guess I'm fine having Mario and Bowser (with their respective amps) scale to the value. Assuming the math checks out
 
I'm fine with the calc; as the original maker the changes seems warranted for the math.

if you nearly die to attacks (while the person admitted to toying with you) then you don't scale

Youre not being any better with name calling. Both of you would benefit by dropping this entirely.

I have a feeling the only one who'd scale from the feat is the united power of Star Spirits + Peach and it's more so a power nullification ability that also requires unity rather than a statistic upscale.
