this needs to be added to the crt no?
Indeedthis needs to be added to the crt no?
Get to workI’ll change the OP with the new info soon.
I plan on making a response tomorrow but this wasn’t answeredBefore I add this to my point what is currently wrong with the accepted Albion height?
I've sat on this for about a week and some change and I'm willing to concede the magnitude 9 argument. There's just no viable enough evidence to push it as a definitive. What i do not agree on is the complete dismissal of the statement "tearing apart the demon realm" statement as it's used by the author to gauge the threat the behemoth poses with it's scream to the Demon Realm, hyping it up to be a world threatening crisis, which a magnitude 5 earthquake from what i know is not capable of. With that being said, I think Maginitude 6-7 is what i'm currently willing to argue as we see it damage buildings, Characters being unable to remain standing(Donny being thrown into the air as an example), fissures on the ground being formed during a similar rampage in the past etc. The only reason why further damage was not shown was due to the fact that Percival was able to put The Behemoth to bed before any further damages could have occured.Zeldris statement is completely irrelevant. It's based on what he feels it was gonna happen, not something he was certain of, and not something he showed knownledge about. Near Zeldris we can see buildings getting destroyed but not entirely, ground is intact, it just has violent shaking, some minor to average damage on buildings and that's about it.
Behemoth generating one earthquake where the epicenter has some fissures doesn't mean it's magnitude 9 or whatever, that's nearly world destruction and the on-screen visuals do not agree with that. Also, the epicenter is where the damage is the highest:
Berkeley Seismology Lab (USGS-affiliated): Scientists observed that the strongest shaking and the most damage were observed close to the rupture. The values of the MMI scale generally decrease as the distance from the epicenter increases.
USGS: The Modified Mercalli Intensity value assigned to a specific site after an earthquake has a more meaningful measure of severity to the nonscientist than the magnitude because intensity refers to the effects actually experienced at that place.
Well just because nothing is shown does not mean you can't get anything out of it.Anime doesn't have anything useful because we don't see its movement and the scene was cut, we don't know from when it started to move.
How is it not a physical feat? The Negative energy is described as a Miasma so thick, being able to obsctruct vision and is compared to ashes multiple times. It's also shown to push back the camelot knights and is able to overwhelm nanashi's saintly coat. Spreading something like that across the demon realm is a feat.Because it's not even a physical feat, it's energy being generated and spreading at a unknown timeframe that was assumed to be insanely quick. It has no means of scaling, that's not even a feat, it's just someone looking for anything to get high results.
A similar rampage happened in the past and we see fissures formLooking at the actual destruction, it just collapses a few buildings its not like splitting up landmasses or upheaving large chunks of land and besides a worldwide Mag 5~Mag 6 earthquake can basically up end everything if its happening literally across the entire planet, it doesn't need to be stronger than that for the consistent shaking and force to cause massive worldwide damage or cause severe weather phenomena as a result as well so I'd still say the Mag 5 makes senses here
Sure in the immediate area and its not outside of what you'd see from the source of something that could produce a worldwide earthquake, if anything its probably less so yeah I think what M3X said is fine
I’ll make a response to this later but what are your thoughts on the issue I have with the GPE calc?Sure in the immediate area and its not outside of what you'd see from the source of something that could produce a worldwide earthquake, if anything its probably less so yeah I think what M3X said is fine
Need your evaluation.@M3X; what exactly needs to be done?

Could you tag some more calc members if you see this? This needs to get done.Sure in the immediate area and its not outside of what you'd see from the source of something that could produce a worldwide earthquake, if anything its probably less so yeah I think what M3X said is fine

What about my counter arguments to the Behemoth calcs?Going back over the OP, the OP seems correct that the earthquake calculations need to be updated. Replacing them with the standard shaking calcs looks fine.
As for the Behemoth calc and calcs that derive from that, a method that avoids using angsizing is preferable as that method should only be used as last resort IMO. So replacement seems fine to me.
Well just because nothing is shown does not mean you can't get anything out of it.
In the manga, we see the behemoth standing upright, causing the earthquakes and miasma spreading.
Then we have Nasiens stating that the noise and miasma are fading away right after percival puts it to sleep, indicating that The Behemoth is currently going back to sleep and like a panel later we see it asleep on the ground. So to reiterate, standing= noise and miasma and sleep= noise gone and no miasma, which all happened in about 3 panels in the manga.
If anything the anime prolongs this sequence due to the pacing of it. So there's definitely a timeframe to be taken out of this.

I also have problems with the new gpe calc, I already expressed before in a previous response the size of the albion being greatly misrepresented, but not only that in the calculation the first panel used, you got the width of a strand of hair at 35.4m, but in the next panel the entire body length of the albion laid flat which is greater than >35.4m is nothing but a spec compared to the widths of the hair shown. Also something I noticed in the panel. there's different size of strands of hair and in the first zoomed out panel you used in the calc is most likely the shorter hair strands that got translated to the general width used in the calc. We currently have an accepted height of the fat albion at 289m which is consistent with it being not that much shorter than the lanky albion that's shown to be taller than mountains
I did my own rough pixel scaling using the current accepeted height of fat albion
Albions are nothing but weapon golems created by the demon race, the heights and sizes should be constant, and even so the calculation has to zoom in to the very pixels to get the measurements of the eye of said Albion when in the next panel its showing the full size of the Albion from head to toe laid flat.M3X's calc uses fewer assumptions for the height of Albion as it is calculating the specific Albion in the scene and in relation to a character with a known height value.
As for the rest of the points about Behemoth's motions, I'm not sure about that. I don't believe they would be too useful to the verse anyway because almost nobody should be scaling to the Behemoth's AP.
Like here using the proposed eye’s size I get a rough estimate of 103.36m and we see the width of the hairs is just as if not greater than the size of the entire AlbionAlbions are nothing but weapon golems created by the demon race, the heights and sizes should be constant, and even so the calculation has to zoom in to the very pixels to get the measurements of the eye of said Albion when in the next panel its showing the full size of the Albion from head to toe laid flat.
There’s no way the width of the hairs is 35.4m when the Albion’s body is smaller than it
Well only the God tiers would scale to the Albion (Demon King level and above). Why wouldn’t they be useful? It’s a tier above what is currently being proposed
Most of those are in the foreground and closer to the viewer making them appearing larger; the one closest to the Albion itself seems to be about the same size.Like here using the proposed eye’s size I get a rough estimate of 103.36m and we see the width of the hairs is just as if not greater than the size of the entire Albion
In the rough calculation I used earlier I used the hair strands closest to the Albion and it yielded a size greater than the entire body length of the AlbionMost of those are in the foreground and closer to the viewer making them appearing larger; the one closest to the Albion itself seems to be about the same size.
@M3X; what do you think?
