What is enough for the soul to be considered the mind?

Is the soul having the consciousness and memories of a person, and being used interchangeably with "spirit" and "mind" enough?

Soul and Mind are typically considered two separate things. It shouldn't be a standard assumption to assume they're considered the same thing. The mind is the conscious and thoughts containing memories where as the soul is the spiritual eternal life that transcends to an afterlife when the host/body dies.

Though, if we're talking when are there some verse specifics where extracting one usually results in extracting the other? We usually need in depth explanations for that. Kingdom Hearts as something called "Essense" which is a conceptual/abstract existence of any one being. Likewise, I suppose some verses basically treating "Souls" or "Spirits" as containing their memories, thought could also work.

This is regarding the verse Solo Leveling

The soul is said to contain the consciousness and memories of a person.

It is also interchangeably used with the word mind.

There are a lot of other scans for this, but these two are the jist of it.

So my question was if this is enough for the soul to be equivalated to the mind in the verse.

Good and straightforward example of Souls = Memories

Yes, as long as they are actually mentioned in that sense.

I do wonder though, if a series has characters retaining their memories and consciousness after death as spirits/ghosts, wouldn’t that technically be enough to link the two? Cause, if so, then wouldn’t a LOT of verses qualify? Like, pretty much any series that has a character seeing ghosts or communing with the spirits or whatever kinda implies that there’s SOMEONE to commune with, as otherwise, who are they talking to? Just some vague, unconscious, spiritual energy?

I mean, the mind and soul are very often portrayed very similarly in most series. I think a lot of verses would qualify in general. The mind and soul just aren't super intrinsically different.
