Been tossing around this idea in my head for a while. It's mostly gonna be Indirect combat. It should be fine under verse threads since it relies on feats, but I’ll move it to fun and games if I have to.

Welcome to the "Mission: Verses 9-C to 9-B Tournament! "

VS Thread Scenarios:

  • Every thread will have a random mission chosen from this spinner. The main goal of the "Agents" is to complete their mission before their opponent to win.
    • Even if the mission is the same, each thread will have a different scenario with the location and target varying.
  • Speed will be equalized in every match unless it's requested to be unequalized by both submitters.
  • A random amount of Prep time will be decided every match by a spinner.
    • Prep will usually be before going to the location, but some scenarios will have the prep time be on-site.
  • After the first set of matches, there will be special events after each round, picked from this spinner.
  • While Agents can impede each other, they cannot significantly harm or severely injure the opposing agent outside of sudden death and special events. If they do, they will instantly fail.
  • If the objective can no longer be completed for whatever reason, “sudden death” will begin. Agents will be allowed to kill each other, and the last one alive wins. All nearby law enforcement will also be alerted and constantly updated on their location with the task of "neutralizing" them on sight.
  • The winning Agent will receive $50 million and an official pardon for all past and future crimes.
  • Agents know all the rules and will act in character with the knowledge.
  • Assassinate target: A target is assigned to both Agents, and whoever causes their death first wins. If the Target dies from something unrelated to the Agents, Sudden Death will begin.
  • Protect VIP: One agent is assigned to protect a VIP over a period of time, and the other's task is to kill that VIP. If that VIP dies by any means during, the agent protecting them fails.
  • Duel Protect VIP: both agents are given a VIP to protect. If an agent's VIP dies by any means, they fail. If both VIP’s die at the same time, sudden death will start.
  • Retrieve Target: Agents are tasked with obtaining a target (usually inanimate, although it can be living) and taking it to a specified location. If the target is damaged to the point it can’t be repaired, sudden death will start.

Entry Rules:

  • Characters and their AP/dura can be 9-C to 9-B (300 Joules-0.005 Tons)
    • I might allow up to 8-C equipment, such as explosives, depending on how they work.
  • No goofy hax or anything that auto-wins scenarios (I.E., being able to instantly teleport to a target, killing a target without interacting with them, going back in time to undo a loss, etc)
  • No character whose profile is undergoing or will undergo changes soon. If a character is involved in a CRT mid-tournament, the other character will move on automatically
  • No theme, any characters that work within the rules are allowed.
  • Two characters per person for now.
  • Duos that canonically work together or two of the same species are allowed to be submitted.
  • I would also be cool if you could list their AP/Dura Values so I don't have to look for them later.

Tournament Thread Rules:

  • If a character gets no arguments for around 3-4 days, the opposing competitor will automatically go to the next round.
  • If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied for 3-4 days, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
  • If a user concedes, the opposing team will advance.
    • If a character I submitted is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.

Is it possible for me to submit multiple of the same character? If so, I’d like to submit 2-3 Impostors.

If 3 are allowed: A Regular Impostor, a Shapeshifter & a Viper.

If 2 are allowed: A Regular Impostor & a Shapeshifter

If only 1 is allowed: a Shapeshifter.

We're going a full throttle 9-B+ Witch Hunter here. Because you are all heretics

If Books' Arya Stark is too much, i submit Comics V
Arya Stark should be fine

Imposters are fine, but I'm Gonna say two is the max for multiples of the same character, so A Regular Impostor & a Shapeshifter are gonna be used.

My other choice was Ibzan
But I was worried about his lack of versatility in the key that actually qualifies

To this day i still think about that Raven L lmfao
those guys are SCARY, wouldn't want to meet them in a TTRPG session

about this Ibzan guy, i hoped he would be the one here, since i don't know him or the game he's from lol

Witch Hunters in a proper session are the biggest non-named problem in the Empire if you're doing nasty crap, because their dodge is high, their skill is pretty solid, and they have more tricks than a Swiss army knife.

If you're above board and the DM has decided to make this a Witch Hunter tthat's good at their job, they're a powerful ally with their skillchecks.

Deadbolt is a nice game. But you can debate Ibzan by just looking at the profile pretty much, he is that unversatile

Added my characters into OP. Just in case peeps missed it, it's two characters per person now since I'm doing 16 Agents instead of 8.

Put him in

5.8 Megajoule gun and dura, 300 joule Physical AP

She should be fine.
Somehow didn't noticed It, how about Asgore?
He's fine.

Aaaaand we have all 16 Agents! I'll make the bracket and reveal what mission each fight's gonna have in a few hours. Prob won't get to start matches until tomorrow tho since I gotta finish pre-writing the possible mission Scenarios. If anyone wants to swap out characters or anything, now's the time.

Managed to squeeze in time to make the bracket so ya'll dont got to wait a few hours
Mission.png

Here's the bracket. The Missions and prep time I got from spinning the wheels are as follows;

  • Round 1: Protect VIP, Prep: 1 Month
  • Round 2: Assassinate target, Prep: 12 Hours
  • Round 3: Retrieve Target, Prep: 1 Week
  • Round 4: Protect VIP, Prep: 3 Days
  • Round 5: Assassinate target, Prep: 1 Hour
  • Round 6: Duel Protect VIP, Prep: 4 Weeks
  • Round 7; Assassinate target, Prep: 1 Year
Gonna finish pre-writing the possible mission Scenarios before I create the threads, which should be late today or tomorrow.

About done with pre-writing, so Matches should start in an hour or so.
