God of War Discussion Thread

Here is the quick breakdown of Begtse Chen's birth story:

* The Broken Bet: Begtse Chen began as an ancient, stubborn prince named Drakye who lost a high-stakes dice game to his devout brother (the future Buddha). When Drakye refused to honor the bet and run away, his brother placed a powerful prophetic command on him: he was destined to become a fierce guardian of the very teachings he rejected.

* The Rogue Cosmic Eggs: Reborn in a terrifying demonic charnel ground, Drakye and his sister were laid by monster parents as two living, chaotic metallic eggs—one copper and one agate. Instead of hatching normally, the eggs flew through the sky, violently terrorizing the gods, demons, and the cosmos.

* The Trident Strike: To stop the destruction, the god Mahadeva (Shiva) hurled a massive trident that shattered the flying eggs mid-air. Begtse Chen exploded out of the copper egg clad in full body armor, while his sister burst from the agate egg. They were instantly subdued and sworn to protect the Buddhist faith as a formidable brother-sister duo.

Comic Odin durability "Varies from Galaxy level to Low Outerverse level". How is that even possible with such large gap ? how that gonna work on actual versus battle? Can GoW odin just blitz him before he reach low 1-A dura ? lol

I'd put decent money on Reinhard losing to a Gorgon, why would you make this lmfao
The ability that allows users to damage the target, regardless of their durability

Reinhard always attacks first and his sword has duraneg slashes with 90000km range that never misses 😵‍💫

Dura neg? Literally every1 in GOW has that and it's resisted by literally everyone, and Kratos specifically resists space cutting attacks pretty easily 🥴

The varies for comic characters doesn't really mean "they start at the low end and then gradually progress to the high end." Varied on most profiles (especially comics) have "varies" to account for their wide range of portrayals of strength. It just means at his lowest comics odin is portrayed somewhere around galaxy level or above and in other portrayals he's treated as tier 1.

In a vs match on this site, whoever makes the match would just have to clarify what tier they're putting Odin at for the match.

How exactly do we scale the Sister's of Fate? Since their Fate manipulation wouldn't work on anyone from the Norse World, where would people place them without it?

Since when would it not work on people from the Norse world? They just don't have a Fates equivalent. Mimir himself acknowledged that the magic would screw them over if it was in the Norse lands.

Can law manipulation be added to GoW magic? Magic can control souls that are metaphysical so are concepts and concepts are superior to law hax

I thought Mimir was saying if the Norns had a similar power then they'd be screwed over because Odin would find a way to gain control of it, as for the Fates not working on the Norse characters, don't the Sister's need to make threads in order to manipulate the fates of others, how would they make a thread for a being from an entirely different pantheon, I figured it would only apply to those residing in Greece.

PP

Assuming NEP 2 already passed, i don't see any reason why it won't be PP for Existence and Nonexistence. I guess various characters would have Interaction and PP Erasure, while Chaos would have PP1
NEP 2 passed ages ago. And I wasn't aware NEP 2 was default PP 1.

Idealistic Nonexistence: The character doesn't exist in a sense further beyond conventional nonexistence. In terms of binary, this would be something that is neither 1 nor 0, where 1 is existence and 0 is nonexistence. These characters often have some form of Paraconsistent Physiology due to their lack of binary existence. Characters of this type have to behave at least as nonexistent as those with Material Nonexistence, but might display even further showings such as preceding or opposing existence.

Planck, NEP 2 is textbook PP

This really shouldn't be a thing, our rules explicitly forbid "Varies" ratings simply for having various showings of strength without an actual mechanic behind it, like Superman's mental limiters or something.

Odin varies because of Odinsleep, not because he's inconsistent.
