Crazy thing is that I saw this interpretation form in real time. CN version dropped and somebody explained that it was referencing the databank's Emanator entry where pathstriders, Emanators, and Aeons had their respective levels of power analogized to foam, waves, and tsunami respectively. All hell broke lose and it was contorted into "sleeping nerfed passive Kiana's avatar's mere will is emitting Emanator level waves" that very night.
Never saw anything like it. It was never ending context butchering:
  • "Kiana is asleep": Based on traces she left before she started to dream in the first place.
  • "Kiana's will is Emanator level": Kiana stirs waves by her own will. Emanators do so via their Aeon's will. Obvious contrast
  • "It was Kiana's Avatar": Inside her own dream which is inside the Cocoon?
And it didn't stop. People were even "explaining" the context... only to invariably go "Kiana is emitting waves" at some point in their explanation when it was not that type of wave lol.

Bruh see what I mean.😭 Kiana was not emitting or radiating "detectable" waves. Its figurative waves... like water... that crashes against the shore. And the whole point of the metaphor was to literally establish a scale.🥀

Obviously I'm not saying we go "Jingyuan upscales to Kiana" (lol could you imagine) but the whole point of that metaphor was to establish a pecking order of how their powers compare and Kiana's was very specifically likened to an Emanator, which is decidedly... not at the top of that pecking order. Yeah, the mirror can also detect Aeons. If it was merely left at "Kiana left traces in the mirror" then okay. But "stirring waves like an Emanator" is specific.

Naturally, but it does it even have to be? There's not an Aeon sized gulf in energy output between Bronya and Welt where he could be overpowered by Zephyro but she could overpower Nanook. .

The place is beyond he gaze of the Aeons (or was) but whatever that reason is, its definitely not the barrier. People conflated the two because it makes sense (barriers do be blocking things) and because there was zero elaboration as the Memokeeper dropped that line and dipped. But Vita's dialogue at the beginning of that same chapter killed the barrier being the possible reason, as she reaffirmed that the intertidal zones are the same barriers that block interstellar travel in HSR and that the Aeons' blessing that traverse them. Its also specifically their gaze because the system is actually very detectable otherwise. Mars' destruction lit up the entire milky way and was what attracted Sparkle.

Barrier was very much up and in tact in part 1.5 though, and Kiana's Finality bullet fell into the SoQ. It didn't penetrate it.
